Has just voted 63% to officially become a Pro Independence Party.

Interesting….

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Are they truly independent of their English and Welsh equivalents though?

They could be a good second vote alternative to Alba, who always seems batshit crazy.

Voted Labour in the last election. Regret it now. Greens used to get my vote in Scotland but more recently I feel they`re more interested in single issue politics around trans rights than they are about the environment or Scottish independence. It`ll likely be SNP in May.

Still supporting Alba?

To me thats some mad swings from Greens, to Labour, to SNP……all stand for completely different policies 😂

I do like Jeremy Corbyn, for me, I think he could have been the best PM the UK ever had with respect of making the country a fairer place.

Unfortunately for him, his stance on Palestine meant that the Israel donors who run our government had the get rid of him. You will remember how the Press ripped him apart on a daily basis.

For me it`ll be SNP vote 1, and either ALBA or Greens for vote 2

Find it difficult to understand how anyone could vote Labour. Considering not one single person in Scotland needed to vote Labour to get rid of the Tories, which I am guessing was the motivation.

Tories…Failures. Cronyism, corruption and incompetence off the scale.
Labour ? See above.
Reform ? Will be an utter disaster and make the two above look good.

For Holyrood….It will be SNP for me. Green or possibly YPS ( if they have a candidate ) on the list.

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

It`s quite simple - vote for the candidate who seems best. Most parties have very similar policies when you look into it. Greens are perhaps the exception but then we all know that what parties claim they`ll do and what they actually do are two different things!

Downie seemed to me like an effective local candidate but I must confess has been a complete disappointment.

I fully expect Dunfermline to be an SNP seat in the Holyrood elections in May and in the Westminster elections should Scotland still be part of the UK at the next one.

I`d think twice about the greens 💚 they`re not a party to be in coalition with. Ferries,Bottle banks and biological men in frocks are a red flag to me

Don`t trust Downie, went on a paid trip to Israel in 2024, and probably now is a fully paid up friend of Israel, another red flag for me. That strikes me as Israel first...

Re Alba , yes still a paid up member but a little disappointed with them and the devo mob...so it`s looking like there may not be a candidate for me unfortunately.

The return scheme wasn`t the fault of the Greens really. Neither were the ferries as they came down to stupid requirements probably made up by policy officers in the government.

The Trans issues weren`t a big deal for me other than they seemed to make it their prime focus when in reality it`s an incredibly minor issue. I`d value an open and honest discussion about it though as people self identifying their gender to health professionals will get messy and it`s only a matter of time before someone avoidably dies because of them being misgendered. We need to accept the gender and sex aren`t the same and your NHS record will always focus on your sex to identify the best health interventions. Language also needs to be kept as is in my opinion. There are far more people with low literacy or English as a second language than there are trans people and introducing language like "people with a cervix" and "chest feeding" is potentially confusing and could result in issues.

Downie is a soundbite MP that will say what he needs to to get votes at the time.

Same with our current councillor, who is standing for the Cowdenbeath seat at Holyrood this year as a Tory, where folk claim he does great things for the community when, in reality, anti social behaviour is up, the roads are a mess and Mossmorran is closing (a thing he wanted up until Exxon pulled the plug then claimed he never wanted it shut down).

They put in a new play park 🎉 that was burnt down before it even opened……
