Topic: Correspondents Dinner shooting

Another attempt on Trump’s life carried out. This time at the correspondents dinner at the Washington Hilton hotel; ironically at the same place where Ronald Reagan was shot and injured. Trump wasn’t hurt but one of his security guards was shot at point blank range, however he was wearing a bullet proof vest. The suspect was arrested.

The BBC News reporter, Gary O’Donoghue, was in attendance and his account of what happened is frightening as he and a colleague had to hide under a table in the dining room.

Did he jump up and raise his fist defiantly, with the US Flag perfectly placed behind him, to be photographed by the assembled press, or was it a real shooting this time

The more you watch it, the more it looks staged. No rush from the Secret Service to get to him, in fact they rush JD Vance off stage before anyone even gets close to Trump. Folk filming manage to keep filming despite gunshots being heard in the room. Suspect managed to get in to a presidential dinner with guns.

I agree with the post above - distraction techniques from the failures of his 2nd term.

I`m really glad he wasn`t injured...... I really like his reporting.

After listening to the wrestling episode on Everything is Fake and Nobody Cares it is difficult to unsee this as being anything other than a staged event.

Ironic that the host this year was meant to be someone regarding mind control.....

Trump was in the middle of one of these tricks as the first shots rang out - and they all looked fairly relaxed about the whole thing. No clamour, no diving under tables, no diving on the President from the secret service like when Reagan was shot….

Takes the focus off the debacle that is Iran.
Hopefully one day soon, we are rid of Trump, Putin and Netanyahu?

When Reagan was shot the killer was up close and people could see the shooter. Last night, if I understand correctly, the shooter wasn`t even in the same room. The shots were heard, I dare say radios were being listened to and yelled into, all while the drama at the other side of the security checkpoint/corden unfolded. As for Vance being taken off stage first I`d assume that`s because the president and the vice have assigned and separate secret service details.

Apart from the first shot at security, I was assuming the other shots heard were from them as they attempted to stop him.
Strangely they all missed their target who is alive and well.

Another video showing the gunman “rushing” security…..sprints right through a barrier as the guard steps back and ducks down, rather than just clotheslining the guy.

Well there will now be a court case that will last some time so they`ll have to keep this charade up for quite some time. Quite a number of actors will have to be employed to play the family of Cole Allen for the next few.months. I hope nobody comes forward to say "that`s not Cole Allen`s wife/sister/mother! That`s the woman I studied with at drama school!".

I did chuckle when the Washington Police Chief described him as a "lone actor" before realising his Freudian slip and then saying "a lone gunman".

Looks like another fake assassination attempt, Trump will be hoping that it keeps the Epstein Files and the disaster that is Operation Epstein Fury against Iran out of the headlines

Are we meant to believe that it`s possible to simply run in to the WH off the street, through security and head towards the President without being stopped?

No you`re not supposed to believe that because it didn`t take place at the White House. It took place at the Washington Hilton. The hotel remained open to other guests while the ballroom held the event/dinner. The assailant had booked a room at the hotel and when he approached the checkpoint to gain access to the part of the hotel that was sealed off he got into a firefight with security.

As I said, WH. Which regardless of being open to guests, would surely have been the most secure location in the US at that particular time, given the President and VP were both in attendance.
Jusding by the cctv footage, eyewitness reports and statements made by officials, there was no firefight, he simply ran past them. If that`s correct, then at best it`s one of the biggest VIP protection eff-ups in history.

I said firefight because gun shots were heard and an agent took a shot to a bullet resistant vest. To me it seems like security worked exactly like it was supposed to. Several layers of security and it worked before the assailant got into a position to cause harm to their intended target.

I mean, he literally runs right past the first check point……it’s comical.

That`s why they have several checkpoints. Does any part of him running past that checkpoint looked staged to you? The conspiracy now needs everyone of those agents and police officers being in on it.

It depends on how far back he has come from - he has ran through the checkpoint at a fair speed, so I’m guessing he would have had to have had a fair run up to it - plenty of time to be spotted by the armed guards, who just stand by and let him run past them before bending down and drawing weapons - which they then don’t discharge despite him being a clear threat.

Make it make sense……
