Where did I say it only applied to Scot Nats? Do Scottish Unionists get challenged if they stay abroad though?

I don`t know why Sean Connery lived abroad - possibly a mixture of sunshine and golf. He did invest in Scottish projects though. Scotland is a very small goldfish bowl which would make any kind of normal life for an international star like him very uncomfortable. I think even living in London was difficult for him.

I think thats fair enough Wee Eck. I think it should apply to all no matter their political persuasion.

Yeah, and all these British patriots with homes abroad.

My point was I found this comment very hypocritical. If it’s bad for British patriots to have homes abroad, it’s should also be bad for Scottish nationalists to have homes abroad. I’d argue it’s worse for a Scot Nat to have a home in England - especially London.

So if a Scot Nat, living in Scotland, is offered a promotion in his job which means he`ll have to move outside of Scotland, he should turn it down? I don`t get that.

Neither do I. It`s the ones that move for tax reasons I object to as I said in an earlier post (11:23).

You do realise Nicola Sturgeon has left the country and is now paying less tax?

By that logic, she should no longer try and influence our politics

No rational person would think Nicola Sturgeon moved to London to pay less tax.

Why not? Why else would the previous leader of the Scottish independence movement move to the capital of England?

Really, it`s none of our business where she lives. She could have personal reasons or maybe she thinks she`ll get a bit more privacy in London. As I said above Scotland is a very small goldfish bowl.
