Davie was a Pars fan since childhood, and in his later years as a wheelchair user he was a regular on the viewing platform at East End Park – he appreciated the company of the Match Buddies and was always cheery, no matter the result on the pitch! His nephew Wullie Oliphant is part of the DAFC Schools Engagement Team. Davie’s son Douglas has asked that donations in his dad’s memory should go to DADSC, and a website has been set up for anyone who wants to contribute. This is a very kind action by Davie’s family, and he would have thoroughly approved of it. The website is here: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/in-memory-of-davie-young?tk=2e5345f9b241589abad5a915b631bd64a18cf114 Post Edited (Thu 03 Jun 22:09) Reply |
