Interesting. that we went long many times rather than playing it out from the back.

I think sometimes you need to go long, to buy the space to go short. Then when they push up, go long again. You just need to make sure when you go long it’s targeted and put ms them under pressure

What a feeling heading home after a performance like that.

Well deserved win and a massive boost ahead of Saturday.

My only negative about tonight was the decision to replace Kane with Wighton. 3 nil up at home, 8 minutes to go why not give Taylor Sutherland a run out?

Apart from that roll on Saturday.

The Kingdom strikes back………

That was a performance and a half well done everyone in a Pars strip tonight.
We need to keep this going & push on.

Wasn’t it great to hear Bene barking at them all game. That’s been sorely missed.

“.........it ain’t over till the Pars score!”

Glad I made a last minute decision to go tonight! Great performance from the lads which only begs the question as to why we don’t do that more often!

We forced Livi into so many bad positions because of their persistence to play out from the back. One of which was a stone wall penalty and a shocking decision from the ref to give a free kick instead!

The key thing now is to do the same on Saturday - McPake might just be the Messiah yet 🫢

We have been steadily getting better. What was different tonight is we scored first. It makes a difference and we deserved to score.

Most of the first dozen or so posts here are hilarious. Humble pie being eaten hopefully.

Lets support the team - support every player - and climb the league.

lol living rent free in your head seems to be where I am!

Great performance tonight, livi offered nothing but I put that down to our press which never gave them an inch. A number of players had thier best game this season so far, back 4 never put a foot wrong all night, shame bene didn’t start last sat as was a rock tonight.

Mebude looks an interesting player, has the ability to beat a man easily but then kept trying to do too much instead of play the pass when in a good position but positive signs given he won’t be fully fit or match sharp yet.

Workrate was spot on tonight, was even surprised by how much running wotherspoon put in and some great deliveries for the goals. It was definately a more positive performance in terms of attacking intent too mixed with manageing the game at the right points.

Just a good all round performance and some shift put in. Hopefully we can back it up with another win on sat.

I wouldn`t try and claim I saw that performance coming, but there have been definite signs in recent weeks that performances had been improving, albeit slowly. Like several other posters on this thread, I had some misgivings when I saw the starting XI - I even joked with a few pals that the bench looked stronger, and they agreed.

A strong bench may have contributed to our excellent performance as the players who started would know they`d be liable to be hooked early if they weren`t working hard enough, and boy, did they work hard. 🙂 There were no failures in that team, and they made a mockery of the league table. 🤞 we can take this into Saturday`s game......

Not your average Sunday League player.

I think this is the most frustrating thing, we all know how capable our squad could be and some of the performances we put in are excellent but we go back to the slow build up, i want mcpake to succeed as i do like the guy, hopefully this gives him more impetus to set the team up on the front foot every week rather than the second half every week

Agree wee eck. The team clearly has the potential to be challenging at the top. Hopefully this turns things around with more positivity all around.

It`s obvious that the Pars do better on the night shift. Our best performances this season have been under floodlights. Congratulations on a great performance and result. Far more purpose and pace.

Much better, we seem to play well in the dark, maybe we can move all our games to evening kick offs?

I`m pleased for the naysayers who have been shouting for a more attacking progressive team set up , oh and getting rid of the back 5 and the slow build up ,well done guys 😜

Great performance last night, long overdue. Was a controversial team selection but it did work. What a difference when we play from the start and press the opposition until they kick it back to us. No failures last night and Kane & Bene outstanding. Young plays as if he is 28, not 18 and some great crosses from Wotherspoon.

Need to take that into the next game but that will have raised the confidence levels quite a bit.

Five at the back is almost a myth now. I can`t remember when we last played with three CBs. The main difference last night was that we converted a few chances. McPake`s post-match interview is actually a very good summation of how things have been improving over the last few weeks. We should have the good grace to give the guy some credit.

We`ve talked about Todd, Otoo, KRH etc as having potential but Sam Young has slotted right in and looks totally effortless. Young lad has incredible assurance for his age and just looks like he`s been playing there for years. Interesting to see how he bounces back from a bit of adversity when it comes but isn`t it wonderful to see?

Also, last night was a textbook illustration of how playing one up front versus two up front is a distraction of a debate compared to the real issue of how you press, how you vary things, your attitude etc.

The fans have been incredibly patient with James McPake . I don`t think any of our fans want to see him " fail " .
Last night , we came out of the traps , closed down the opposition, and got the ball forward and into the box much quicker than we have in the vast majority of games this or last season .
Many , many fans have been calling for us to get on the front foot . Last night, we did that .
Why has it taken so long to actually have a go at it ?
Hopefully, we will do the same on Saturday , and can start to climb the league . If we do , I`m sure JM will start to win back a lot of the support he undoubtedly lost , myself included . COYP !

Absolutely Rusty. Lad looks a player, am looking forward to seeing how he progresses.
