Why post and not provide the finer detail, claiming it’s ridiculous and expecting folk to back it up without actually knowing what’s happened? He could have happily retired. He could’ve been caught with his hand in the till for all we know! No idea. So either come up with the full story or don’t bother at all because otherwise you’re just pulling the poor gent into an unnecessary rammy on a public forum. Reply |

23. Author: Alter Ego Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 18:28 He’s put a message up on Facebook thanking all the fans and what happened is between him and the club. Mon the Pars! Reply |
24. Author: StevenPar77 Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 18:28 Irrespective of what has or hasn`t happened and off the back of the NW guys withdrawing their efforts, it just seems like another example of the club going backwards. These people are the lifeblood of the club. It feels as though we have gone back a few steps, and these are really big shoes to fill. We can all look forward to a board statement 😉 Reply |
25. Author: DrumRoad Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 18:31 Not seen a thread with so much guff in a while “my dads bigger than your dad” style The truth about Dave Lamming will come out in time, probably from Dave himself so stop with this he said, she said nonsense 2022/23 League one Winners Reply |

Although this has come with many challenges to over come the club have been very supportive throughout the last 9 years!` This was posted on the NW thread by one of the guys who organised the tifos but still we get unfounded claims about the running of the club. 27. Author: Alter Ego Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 19:28 Whatever has happened the gulf between the fans and club is getting bigger. Will Mr Cook come out with a statement soon as he’s been very quiet? Mon the Pars! Reply |
28. Author: Par Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 19:47 A very sad day for the club whatever the reason, he was an absolute asset to the club and I`m sure I would not be alone in saying it was a pleasure to visit the club shop and chat and shake hands with David. If he has been driven out that is a complete disgrace, but I`m sure David is too much of an absolute gentleman and Pars man to disclose if he has been driven out. I would expect a testament from David Cook thanking him for his years of devoted service and a suitable memento from the club. Post Edited (Tue 19 Nov 19:49) Reply |
29. Author: jake89 Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 20:17 So why has he left? Is it because he`s annoyed with the club or is this just speculation? Reply |
30. Author: Alter Ego Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 20:19 Ah but Mr Cook is put in a corner whatever he/the club comes out with saying thanks to David. Its obvious something has happened but Cook/the club will just come out thanking him for his services etc and cover up anything that happened. Look at how much David put into the club in hrs working and helping…Again something is not right with the set up and I hope the hierarchy within DAFC are proud of themselves…our club is turning into a joke now… I did say about these Germans at the start but hey ho🤷 Mon the Pars! 31. Author: TommyR Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 20:21 David always made me feel special when picking up my shirts each season and that handshake is unforgettable. This is criminal. First the NW giving up and now David is out? Something stinks at the club right now and we`re due answers. Reply |
32. Author: Alter Ego Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 20:23 Jake I’m surprised at you with your comments tbh…David would just not leave after 20 years giving everything to the club…I’m sure it’s frustration on how he is treated and the workings within the club….im sure the club can’t employ a person to run the shop now?? 35. Author: Alter Ego Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 20:55 Everyone knows how I felt about the takeover from the start and I got red carded when the Germans took over as I wasn’t happy about it. Then Mr Cook got appointed and well it’s all gone well since the eh? Mon the Pars! Reply |
36. Author: da_no_1 Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 21:04 Is it just German owners you have issues with? Or are Americans at risk too? "Some days will stay a 1000 years, some pass like the flash of a spark" Reply |

39. Author: Westies squint kicks Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 21:50 Berry, Tue 19 Nov 21:29 Essentially the above, also with reference to a potential boycott of the shop that he doesn’t want as he believes at certain times of the year it’s the clubs only source of income. “What happened is between me and the club” Being the Pars man that he is he also shows great respect for everyone that used the shop, but his final thoughts were “new owners are lining up to take over the club let’s get behind them”. 40. Author: Alter Ego Date: Tue 19th Nov 2024. 21:53 Nobody calling Cook anything from what I have seen..as it was a post from David himself. Now DA NO 1…. If we get new owners in that are American, I’m sire they will not want the club set up like our Germans and be positive?…. Mon the Pars! Reply |
