Yeah, let`s totally disrespect someone because you can`t be bothered to learn or say their name instead...

Interesting that he is another in the dynamic box-to-box creative mould, where I thought Hampson was going to be that player. A shame he`s bot featured as I was really looking forward to seeing what he could offer. Still time I guess but the fact he`s not came on and now we have another option doesn`t look good for the Welshman.

I wonder if the plan is to get Taylor-Clarke in as the single pivot in the 4-3-3 we`ve nominally been playing under Tidser with Oakley-Booth and Otoo further ahead offering a bit of power in the engine room. I wouldn`t necessarily be against that. Or we could use Taylor-Clarke and one of Otoo or Hamilton as double pivots in a 4-2-3-1 if we decide to go more narrow again and get the full backs more involved in a traditional up and down way. The way Ngwenya has been used, as well as using Comrie in a more inverted ways worries me as I think we lose a lot when we don`t get the full backs up and down to support the attack. I`m actually not sure that either of these systems particularly suit the squad we have to be honest but we are where we are.

I think it’s a triple pivot…..only joking I have no idea what your talking about :)

I suspect we’ll see Tidser look to set up roughly the same way he did at Kelty. Seems pretty clear that it’s not Tidser signing all these players, I just hope he’s having some input into what he needs.

We’ve certainly gone for quantity this window and so far mullan looks like the quality we were hoping for and possibly Stevens. The rest haven’t had much chance yet. At 25 this guy should have more about him than the younger ones who are making a big step to first team with us.

Looks like Tidser is getting fed a conveyor belt of young talent from the owners and being tasked with moulding them into a team. Let`s hope it works as games are starting to run out. I think we`d all settle for 8th position and look to rebuild for next season. I`d far rather this than persevering with players who have demonstrated that they are not good enough and living in hope that they are suddenly going to find form.

Doesn`t know his regista from his trequartista type post. :)

"Totally disrespect someone" Keltypar? Think your way off at a tangent there. I may be tempted to question the credentials of the Charles Ponsonby-Smythes of this world but not your average footballer. Do lighten up a bit.

Point of information - Owen Hampson has featured, albeit only as an 88th minute sub at Pittodrie on Sunday.

One thing about all these signings is that it will show the new owners how well it works going into next season.

The majority are either on loan or signed up until the end of the season they are from England maybe the owners think the English level is higher than scottish football so we will see how that works out

According to Flashscores he`s under contract in Portugal until the summer so it must be a loan.

Good pedigree, spent a lot of years at Tottenham and Stoke.

Best of luck to him.

I`m very happy with the new owners thus far.

I don`t know how to do links but here is a short highlight reel. Nothing spectacular but can hold up the ball, play a good long pass and seems to be a foul magnet. If he can get us free kicks in good positions then that`s a good thing.

You just need to put triangle brackets either side of the URL so it`s like

ETA - obviously it's a highlight reel but looks pretty no nonsense. Throws himself in, some tidy footwork, looks decent.

Looks good with both feet, good at breaking up and linking up. A midfielder who drives forward. Gets involved in the action and takes a bit of stick.

The guy is so far above the level he has signed up for.
I recon this must be a chance to attract a decent move to something better.
He will tear through any championship midfield or defence that doesn`t pull him down.

I`m wondering if the same can be true of JCM who has also signed until the end of the season. Are these guys just putting themselves in the shop window in the hope that they`ll attract some interest from bigger clubs at the end of the season? I`m not complaining if they can help get us out of trouble.

ETA - Of course, in JCM`s case we have an option to extend his contract but is he obliged to accept it? Does the existence of the option mean that, if he does move on, we`ll be entitled to a fee?

You`ll have to explain your comment to me then Paralex, because saying that commentators shouldn`t say the full names and that saying them all sounds tedious sounds disrespectful to me. As someone who has a son with a double barrelled surname, if he was a pro athlete of some sort and commentators didn`t use his full name I`d take it as a slight. And given the reasons for having such a surname are varied and numerous, it could be disrespectful in the extreme not to use the name as the player requests.

Don’t think I’ve seen such a disinterested interview in my puff.

nae wonder with the questions being asked

Mut admit the interviews are quite bad. Instead of letting the person talk he asks a question then answers it himself then asks for their thoughts again?

c'mon the pars

Sam Young away to Forfar on loan, are we going to go the rest of the season with 3 centre halfs and Hamilton as the options?

Had a look at the highlights reel there. If that`s the best of, for someone that`s just reached 25, it`s not much to get excited about. Hopefully he will produce the good here though, get any injury issues behind him and do well for us, and him

Well, well Keltypar, you`re biased because you`ve got a son with a double barrelled name and I`m biased because I`ve got a son with only 4 letters in his surname. I would have to confess to being slightly flippant and not over serious in my comment but many players with really long names do make some concession to abbreviation in such circumstances. I`m sure in the case of Alexander Arnold, that he gets less mentions when he gets on the ball, than players with less syllables. But nothing to get steamed up about.
