4-1 from a free kick well outside the box. Keeper should have done better I`d say.

I must have missed our second goal!

OTC, TOB and Mebude all went off after about an hour leaving a very young side on the park. They competed pretty well initially and should have equalised at 2-1 but after that seemed to lose heart.

J Tod looks a good prospect. Very calm with a huge loping stride. Left back Proudfoot had some nice touches but was muscled off the ball a few times. Oakley-Boothe seemed to stroll through the game. On today’s evidence, Mebude isn’t very good at football. Our second goal was a close range finish by I don’t know who after a good build up down the right.

It was good of Dee TV to stream the game on YouTube.

John McLaughlan`s views are now on COWS. He said we finished with 7 or 8 players who are under 18. Lucas Fyfe who scored the second goal is only 15!

This is excellent to be honest, also the goalie has just turned 16!

A decent chance a few will make the grade.

Have to feel for Mebude, was a very talented young man but the car accident does seem to have had a major impact on him.

Thomas Margetts doesn`t turn 16 until March.
He`s still only 15 years old.

Fyfe must be something to do with Robert Snodgrass or the scouting agency he is involved with. He tagged him in a post and said 26 for the season at 15 years old.Looking further Snodgrass is a scout for Smi ( sports management international) it`s an agent service so I`d assume fyfe must be in with them.

c'mon the pars

Joe Cardle is his agent, he works for SMI as does Snodgrass

John Tod played another 90 minutes tonight for St Andrews and got on the score sheet in a 4-1 defeat.
Freddie Rowe came on as a 2nd half sub after doing the same yesterday.
If Tod doesn`t make it as a full time player at a decent level I would be astonished. Never seen a 17 year old centre back looking so good with the ball on either foot.

Forgot to mention that Marley Sweenie Rowe who was indeed on loan at Crossgates last season and Fraserburgh this season is now at Forfar on loan as he is progressing.
Promising left back/wing back for Dundee.
Euan McCleod played with Marley last season at Crossgates but was out on loan at Civil Service Strollers this season.

Pretty sure that there are UEFA or FIFA rules around the transfer of under 18s that apply. We wouldn`t be getting nothing, and most clubs do things "properly" these days to make sure they don`t get hit later if something comes out of the deal.

I see Arsenal have picked up a young lad from St Johnstone.

`Arsenal and St Johnstone have agreed a deal for 15-year-old Callan Hamill and the Perth club will bank an initial six-figure fee for the Scotland youth full-back, with realistic add-ons and sell-ons likely to swell that transfer fee significantly. (The Courier)`.

One deal like that probably explains why some clubs invest in Academies. The big English clubs obviously keep a keen eye on what`s happening up here.
