I`d be surprised if anyone would argue with the sponsor`s choice of Chris Kane yesterday, but Jeremiah Chilokoa-Mullen put in another assured performance yesterday, even without Bene`s guidance when our skipper was red carded.

As I understand it, JCM is our player until the end of the season. We paid Leeds a fee for him, and we have first dibs if we want to extend his contract. I`ve seen enough to suggest we should be offering him a new deal NOW! I wouldn`t be at all surprised if other clubs are watching him and liking what they see. If we wait until the end of the season, JCM`s agent could be sitting with a pile of offers from other clubs, which we might not be able to match, so he leaves and we get nothing.

If we extend his deal now and he wants to go to a bigger club, we`ll at least get a nice fat fee. 🙂

I agree we should be trying to sign JCM on a longer deal but I thought he was less assured than usual yesterday.

Don`t be so negative Eck, he was still way better than most!

Mullen is a player that I`d be throwing a 3yr deal at.

I`d try and offer him a deal although I don`t think he will be in a pars shirt first game of the next league campaign. Although we can live in hope.

c'mon the pars

Sadly I probably agree.

I thought this as well, probably the first time I’ve seen him looking a bit nervy. Been really good though since we got him.

He and Fogarty might make a good partnership with Bene suspended.

I know he was beaten by a cross but Tobi kept us in the game in the first half.

It’s easy to get a bit anxious when you are not sure of your footing.
I doubt he will be here next season. He will likely get a better offer elsewhere

I hope with Mullen the option we have can be activated before anyone else can sign him. At then at least we’ll recoup a fee if he wants to go.

You could see he is levels above within 15mins of his debut.

A clause that triggers on avoiding relegation would be a smart move from both parties. He`s far far too good for League 1

We didn`t pay a fee for JCM, Leeds attached a reportedly decent sell-on clause. But he`s technically our player with a club option to extend which has presumably been pre-determined should we stay up.

I thought the info in my post this morning relating to JCM had come from the club, but I`ve done some inquiring, and apparently, it`s not. The club website says he`s here on loan.

Really GG? On the club website it just says an initial short term deal, nothing about a loan. The Leeds official website also says it`s a permanent deal and it was also subsequently reported by several local media outlets.

I asked someone connected to the club, KL. Was told my info was wrong. Said it was just a loan. Told me to see COWS. I didn`t. Dunno what to believe now. Just hope we can sign him on a long-term deal.

Bizarre! Hopefully we have him permanently and your club source got mixed up with the other hundred players we signed around that time 🤣

I wonder if he will be selected for the upcoming Scotland u21s games at the end of the month if so we will likely miss him for the Livingston and Ayr games. Considering he scored v Kazakhstan and is playing week in week out I`d think he will get a call up.

c'mon the pars

JCM isn’t on loan. Was announced as a short term contract, with an option to extend. Cant see any reference to a loan deal on the club website and Leeds’ announcement specifically mentions it is a permanent deal, rather than a loan.

Anyway, Kane man of the match. We didn’t look like we had any chance of even getting level until he came on.
