23. Author: RossF Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 20:02 “ These posts are whats wrong with this place 😂 folk bashing 18 year olds with a handful of games to their name thrown in at the deep end. Where were you lot plying your footballing trade at 18?” Football isn’t the only profession that’s sink or swim and open to major criticism you know.. Granted it attracts the most attention from social media but the majority of jobs require people to work through high pressure situations every day (not just every Saturday), regardless of their age. If mistakes are made they can get chastised by work colleagues/management/customers and that can be much worse than people commenting on a forum. If players can’t handle the pressure of playing in the Scottish Championship, people understandably will question their ability, especially when we badly need results. I’d bet everyone one here who criticises Yeboah would love to be proved wrong. Even when he goes back to Bristol, I’d be delighted to see him prove me wrong and kick on to have a very successful career. Sadly, he has been poor for us during his loan spell and shown very little quality. Reply |
24. Author: wee eck Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 20:20 But what`s the motivation in posting criticism repeatedly? It`s as if people enjoy doing it. I don`t get it. Reply |
25. Author: kozmasrightfoot Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 20:47 Thank you Parrot for letting me know I can say arsewipe on this forum. Hooray for the arsewipes. As for Yeboah, let`s not forget the bloody pitch. Mbappe would struggle to score on this pitch, and let`s not pretend he`s the only player that doesn`t look up to scratch. Good luck for the future Yeboah. Maybe NL will keep him on as he maybe sees something in him in training that we don`t. He`ll have to do better than our new 300 thousand quid Bulgarian striker though 😆 🤣 😂. As much as Kane has saved us on more than a few occasions, we need better than him if we`re going to compete at the top end of the table. Poor Connor Young looks like missing the whole preseason which will hold him back when he gets his fitness back. Thus making him the latest boo boy. Pars fan. Magpies fan. Mens tennis fan. Alternative rock fan. Not a fan of much else. Reply |
26. Author: Indiapar1 Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 20:54 I think it`s unfair to scapegoat players. At 18 he has had to step up into the championship . Not the easiest of places. He is still developing, and he has improved in his time here. He has been asked to play and has done so. He is not the finished article but who is at 18. I am sure he has learned a few things being here, and hopefully, he will take that away with him. He has stepped up when asked to play so good on him. I`m sure he will have a future in the game G Wardrope Reply |
27. Author: ParfectXI Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 21:08 I honestly don’t think he’s a poor player, he has attributes but he just needs to see those around him a bit more! It’s almost as if he gets blinkers on when he gets the ball! If he can learn to see those around him and pass to them he’d be a decent wee player Reply |
28. Author: red-star-par Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 21:19 He`s only 18, he`s worked hard, in a struggling team. I`m sure he`ll go on to do okay in his caeeer Reply |
29. Author: obiwanyouknowme Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 21:29 I think the question for me - Is he any better than Sutherland? The answer no, we should be playing our own. Reply |
30. Author: Never10yairds Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 21:31 Maybe he will develop into a player and have a future in the professional game, maybe not. Hes not what we needed here tho. He was far too raw and unrefined to be effective for us. That isn’t the laddies fault tho, it’s whoever brought him in who needs to take the flack for that. He put plenty effort in and I wish him no ill will. Reply |
31. Author: Berry Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 21:37 The boys only 18 and this will have been a good experience for him as he’ll have realised he is miles off where he wants to be. He does a lot of hard work with the running but very little else, his decision making is poor, ability to retain possession of the ball is poor, he can’t win a header and is bullied easily off the ball by defenders so needs a lot of time in the gym. Wish him the best but very glad that’s the last we’ll see of him. Reply |
32. Author: summeragent Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 21:51 coventrypar, Sat 26 Apr 22:02 I agree. He is a young lad and has potential. A bit of nurturing and he could be a good player. Reply |
33. Author: RossF Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 22:08 I don’t get that motivation either wee eck but again I’ve always believed that if someone in any career does one million things right and makes one mistake, they’ll forever be known for that mistake. It’s sad but that’s the harsh reality of life. It doesn’t make it right but it’s absolutely the case. Some people on here think the Dunfermline forum is the worst for criticism, which is absolute rubbish. That happens with every single club, especially during bad spells. Reading kozmasrightfoot’s post, I don’t understand the pitch being blamed for Yeboah’s progress when he failed to perform away from home and the fact that Hamilton, Airdrie and Partick were able to create clear cut chances through decent moves. Also, since when did Connor Young become a boo boy? Him being injured is a massive blow for us and I’m very hopefully he can be a key player for us next season. Reply |
34. Author: PARrot Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 22:13 RossF, Sun 27 Apr 22:08 I thought it was obvious what he meant. If Connor doesnt manage a full pre season, he may be below par and will become a target for the boo boys. Hes not wrong. Reply |
35. Author: RossF Date: Sun 27th Apr 2025. 23:31 You both couldn’t be more wrong. Chris Kane missed the majority of preseason and has proved to be one our most important players. Definitely not a ‘boo boy’. It’s consistently poor performances on the park that lead to criticism - not missing a preseason. Anyway, hopefully we’ll have a look of positives to look forward to next season. Reply |

39. Author: Athletico Date: Mon 28th Apr 2025. 09:05 He has something about him, you see flashes of it, unfortunately the end product isn`t there yet. I also question is attitude. I spotted something a few weeks ago at the warm up. As all the first team went in, young Andy Tod and the other younger members of the squad were gathering up the balls, he shouted over to Yeboah to help and pick up the water bottles and he just looked at them, and sauntered off the pitch, completely blanking Andy.
