Reports starting to break that Ange is likely to be getting the sack with Frank and Silva being approached for consideration as replacements.

Difficult decision either way, personally find it hard though considering he won them their first trophy for decades and with it Champions League football despite a poor league campaign.

Deserved another season I think.

You can add Andoni Ariola to Levy`s wishlist. He definitely has more money than sense.

Spurs have been poor for two reasons;

1. A number of their most influential players have been out injured for significant periods of time.

2. Ange insisted on playing gung ho attacking football, even when their best players were out injured.

If Ange is sacked could he be heading back to weegieland?

MoJo revisited?

Only joking....unless it happens.

Never liked his public musings. While at Celtic he`d often pander and appeal to the base assumptions of the support by going down the line of `everyone is against us and the refs have it in for us`. I don`t for a second think he believed it but it made him look good in their eyes.

If they retain him I think it becomes their Ten Hag moment. They have been awful all season even before the injuries. The worst United team in recent memory should have beaten them in the UEFA cup final and if he’s allowed to take them into the Champs league they’ll get slaughtered.

Ange promised the club and fans he would get them a trophy in his second season in charge and did that…..he had injuries to all of his best players at one point but still maintained a decent style of football…the only guy that is the problem at spurs I’d Levy…

Ariola would fit right in with other t1ts 😃

Frank and Silva, Frank De Silva sounds like a really good 70`s gangster name. `Heyyyyy Franky, the boss wants us to go and whack some chump.

Managers trying to ingratiate themselves with their fans is fairly commonplace, TOWK. Given that Celtic fans are frequently believed to suffer from paranoia, Postecoglu was happy to pour petrol on the fire.

Mind you, who was it who said, "Just because I`m paranoid doesn`t mean they`re not out to get me!" 😀

That old management arrogance got him sacked.
It’s all fine and good to have a football philosophy but you don’t stick to it at any cost if you don’t have the players to carry it out.
That’s why they and Man Utd finished so low down the league as they did.
It’s why McPake and Tidser got the sack.

I couldn`t disagree more. With a full squad last season, and also without Harry Kane, they led the league early on and finished 5th. His "philosophy" worked just fine.

The squad was absolutely decimated by injuries this season. That`s the reason they finished where they did. Comparing Spurs and Man United is laughable, but comparing McPake and Tidser is even more ridiculous.

I hope he finds new employment soon.

Yes thier squad was hit by injuries this season but with a manager who had more than just plan A they would have done better.

I like Ange and it’s a shame but despite the injuries in some games he sent them out like lambs to the slaughter.

DA, that`s what aaps was saying. His philosophy worked fine when he had the players and the best finisher in Europe in his squad. Without Kane and the many players out injured his philosophy wasn`t one that was going to see him win many games. He had no plan B accept annoyingly for me when they played Utd in the final and parked the bus. As it is I`m sure his everyman, folksy, Aussie charm will see him land on his feet elsewhere soon enough.

I think the final straw was him winning a trophy. He’s no longer a good fit for spurs. Levy is poison.

I thought they won that trophy because Ange adopted his Plan B in the final?

He finished 5th without Kane………🤔😂 utterly ludicrous from Spurs to sack him, wins them European trophy which also got them into CL next year, but deemed not good enough. Bizarre.

No idea who they will replace him with either as nobody will go there with the after thought of being sacked even if they return a trophy.

The main reason Ange has been sacked is because Levy is an absolute weapon. His arrogance and wealth has enabled him to sack better managers like Conte and Pochettino.

Ange hasn't helped himself in the league by adhering to his attacking philosophy with so many of his better players out injured, but having taken them into the CL, he should have been given the opportunity to stay on for another season.
