Topic: Community Day and Kit Launch

This bit appears to have been ignored…

“We plan to reveal the new home kit next Friday, ahead of the Hearts game on Saturday, 12th July, where the team will wear this new kit for the first time. The home kit will be available for supporters to pre-order online from Friday, 11th July, with orders due to be fulfilled shortly after. Supporters will be kept up to date on fulfilment times.

Supporters will still be able to meet the players and management as we move our Community Open Day event to a future date that will be announced in due course.”

Afore ye jump I was looking forward to tomorrow too. Planned to leave work earlier to get there in time. 😔

The optics look awful, but there has been legal issues with the sponsors to sort out which has obviously delayed the strips being manufactured. Im only guessing, but I do remember we had a delay a couple of years ago with strips delayed at customs. Could just be one thing after another.

Rubbish. Strips have been here for a while, that’s absolute truth.

The Cook Circus has rolled back into town…….

What an absolute shambles our club is under his stewardship. Guessing no new players were due to be revealed tomorrow either? If so could have had them revealed today instead…….

I tend to try to give Cook and the board the benefit of the doubt, but this isn`t a good look. Reeks of amateurism. I seem to remember delays last season as well with Errea, I`m sure it took a while to get these sent from Italy. If they can`t fulfill the order get another manufacturer next year. I`m not really their target market, too old for shirts these days, but the shirts should have been here, on sale for the start of the holiday season. I`m sure a lot of people buy shirts to take on holiday with them.

Standards around the club are very low, from top down, from the Chairman to the players on the pitch, that sort of thing needs to change

What about all of the people that made arrangements to be there tomorrow
Some like myself maybe took a holiday which we cannot change as it`s too late in the day , pretty crap
Always give people the benefit of the doubt but surely they knew about the strips etc wouldn`t be here earlier than the release of the statement

I`m sure some of the artisan dunfermline folk had stalls to be there so they`ve been shafted

It seems to me the club was demonstrably better run when it was being run by volunteers who love the club. The Germans ending that and bringing in paid professionals seems to have taken us backwards.

Kit launch has to be one of the most lucrative days of the year for a club at our level. Disappointed we have managed to make an a*** of it.

The disappointment for me is the new owner, new manager buzz has been dampened by a transfer window thus far that is the same as last year, with a strip shambles chucked on top and the old spectre of deafening silence rearing it`s ugly head.
The positivity is waning, this needs addressed.
Cook, well, for me he`s had the benefit of some serious doubt, there`s no more goodwill, get things done.

I don`t wanna go down like disco.

Cook either takes the hit for this complete farce or he shows he’s actually got a backbone and bins the commercial guy. Simple as that. This isn’t just a one off mistake. It’s yet another chapter in a long list of cock ups from folk clearly out their depth. If we can’t even get a kit launch right, how are we supposed to have any confidence in them running the club properly and maximising our commercial potential.

We’re a laughing stock. Time after time it’s amateur hour with this pair. Are we’re expected to just accept it and move on?

Nah, enough’s enough. Get rid of the lot of them.

c'mon the pars

Is this all related to the mystery around the sponsors?

I thought i read somewhere that SRJ would not be the shirt sponsors. Might be wrong. I know that the SRJ owners sold the business to the employees this last year. Seems a bit odd and very last minute given the weather has been forecasted for the last week

Cook was questioned about getting Errea, and he stated , Errea would improve stock issues and reorders , this for the second year in a row is not the case.
I personally would rather have a stock Adidas or Puma strip ,embroidered by a local company , far easier to get and reorder stock .

I’d say it’s more about the sponsor than the strip itself as to why it’s been delayed.

Pretty obvious as it needs to be emblazoned onto the top.
