To add to the positivity, Lennons post match interview is great. He states we will still be bringing in 5 or 6 and they will be the right players. We might be about to have a very fun season.

After a couple of tough seasons this is starting to look good.

Enjoy it!

I thought as a team we looked much more positive and purposeful. Better balance and movement. It`s very early doors yet, and players are just getting up to match fitness and sharpness. Players that have come in will be developed with an eye to the near future or a bit longer term. With a few more to come in to provide competition in key areas, I think we are in a good place.

Personally, I wouldn`t be writing anyone off at this stage. It`s a team game that needs a team effort and squad to compete for the whole season.

We’ve seen it time and time again, some players breeze the step up, others take time, and a few just never quite get there. Bray’s only a kid, still learning his trade, and this is probably the first proper test of a higher level for him. One pre season game isn’t going to define the lad. He is probably leaving his family behind for the first time as well.

The League Cup will be a much better gauge. Proper competitive matches, but still early enough in the season to allow some bedding in. If he shines then brilliant, we`ve maybe got a player on our hands. If he struggles, fair enough, it’s a chance to see where he’s at and what he needs to work on.

Let`s not be too quick to make our minds up. Give the boy a chance to find his feet before we start writing him off.

c'mon the pars

"Let`s cut Kaiser a bit of slack here...I`m guessing he/she is quite young and guilty of posting a thoughtless comment."

-------------------------------------------------

With due respect, GG I don`t agree with that. What he/she posted is a social media comment that could harm a young person. It`s not just an opinion, it`s an attack on someone doing their job. Anywhere else it`s called `unacceptable behaviour.`

By `thoughtless comment` you mean, he/she wouldn`t have posted it if they`d thought a little longer? There`s been time now for an apology.

We don`t know Kaiser`s mental condition, or age. Or if he/she is capable of more than the shallow thinking displayed in such a crass post.

Over to you, Kaiser.

I think he told us through the week that he was going to see the Pars live for the first time in 6 years. What a pity he didn`t decide to stretch it to 7.

Quite excited by the mention of wingers. Would be good to see a proper out and out winger driving at defences.

Totally agree with cammy.par 1995. That`s probably why the lad was given a four and a half year contract. It`s gives him time to develop.

Kaiser do everyone a favour and find something else to do on a Saturday and absolutely embarrassing and stupid comment from someone who is obviously a complete bellend

Let`s cut Kaiser a bit of slack here, Parster. I`m guessing he/she is quite young and guilty of posting a thoughtless comment. Calling someone you`ve probably never met a bellend is a bit ironic in a thread about positivity. 🙄

Kaiser will be delighted to know he’s considered quite young 😂

Anyway everyone is entitled to their opinion on the one game that he witnessed.

It’s a forum about opinions.

It`s easy to look at yesterday and say we should have comfortably won. We did. And that`s great that we did. As the old saying goes "you can only beat what`s in front of you". Kelty were a bit questionable at the back (definitely for that first goal!) but they`re a well organised outfit. Well drilled team in the main. We had a pretty young side out there and they rose to the challenge. That third was a peach.

I can`t argue with any of that, oaup. I thought Kaiser might be a slightly immature teenager but red star implies otherwise, so we can reduce some of the slack I cut him. My post was more in response to Parster calling him a bellend.

Having said that, our players should either stay well away from the forum or be prepared for some crass comments regarding their ability. How any fan on here can pass judgement on one of our players after watching them for an hour or so is incomprehensible.

Well said, GG. An example of how a mature person can re-consider a post they`ve made, and lose nothing by it.

No credit to couldn`t care less AAPS, Berry, or the coward Kaiser, who hide behind the banner: `everyone`s entitled to their opinion`.

None of them man enough to call it what it is - nasty, slagging off of a young player.

No-one`s asking you to take any high ground Berry. Just try standing up for a young player instead of someone`s crass post as if it`s untouchable `opinion.`

I don’t agree with the comments on Bray in the slightest, wouldn’t use the term nasty though, wasn’t that bad.

Maybe not nasty, Berry, but to call a professional footballer "a Sunday League player" is pretty insulting. Even I`ve played at that level so I know how poor the standard is.

If it is the same Kaiser (Soze) that was here years ago. He isnt young, and he enjoys winding folk up.

Different spelling, PARrot. The chap you`re thinking of is Keyser Soze. I met him at EEP several years ago, when we responded to a call by the club to shovel snow off the pitch to enable the game to go ahead. We shouldn`t have bothered - we got beat.

KS is actually a good guy.
