I wouldn’t judge any team on that pitch. It’s a disgrace that top flight football is allowed to be played on that surface.

Not only this but the opponents half gets watered heavily before the game and at HT. Not sure how they are getting away with that

Bene did okay…….

He’s not a flash player it’s all the basics but he did them well, solid.

The defence & Dunn need to sort out who’s coming for what - that was a shambles more than once.

That pitch is a monstrosity. You could see players catching their feet and slipping constantly. As for watering...it`s not exactly a surprise that the Rovers are dodgy.

Parsfangaz … “explain”
Last night will prove to be the best lesson … very early in the season … we will learn from that during next weeks debrief.
Watch this space.
Let’s reread this come season end.

Bene meant to be marshalling two young defenders through the game and was caught out by every ball over the top and lost half his 50/50s with McMullan and Easton

Bene certainly did not do well last night at all. Agree with Dave, I thought he was terrible.

Caceres has a football brain. With game time he will do well for us. He has the skill in tight areas to do something with the ball

Can’t believe bene is getting pelters based on performance last night when mullan was rank rotten, cant even do the basics just now, the lad is struggling big time and could be found at fault for both goals although the keeper didn’t help for the 2nd.

Agree on learning curve for Lennon, I would have expected him to have learned a lot about the players from still here from last season but he’s still playing them and even gave a contact to boothe which makes me question if he even knows this league.

The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity!

Fully agree Mullen was terrible last night too.

I only referred to Bene as folk are claiming he played well.

"Not sure what you`re basing that on, but without at least 2 signings we`re not close to challenging the playoffs"

at least 2 might keep us out of the relegation playoffs, this squad is miles away from top 4.

Next team selection will be interesting. Largely he’s stuck with those that finished last season, and to be fair we’ve had two decent results prior to last night. KRH and TOB I would change for Kearney/Bray and Amad. A Tod for Caceres although Lennon may feel Tod deserves another chance. If Kane fit enough then Young drops to the bench too.
