Rovers seem to be a bit in free fall. They will need to turn it around quickly. Not sure of their financial position but sackings of previous managers and an ageing squad won`t help them.

all fans ive spoken to have said its clear where the problems are. Poor recruitment and too engrained in a "style" or tactics and doesnt change when game needs it. Chasing equaliser and will sub the lone striker for another rather than throw caution and 2 up front etc.

Seems to be a major issue, and also paying easton money for three years, where will end wonder what he thinks now, although glad we did not get him

Same here. 3 years is a fair commitment for a 31 year old.

Maybe he knows his level and opted for security. He can still play at the championship level, albeit past his best. Maybe in the longer term, he wants to move into coaching, and his contract with RR will afford him that opportunity.

A good few fans saying Potter is the problem , not the managers .

They will have to overhaul the squad, with the number of contracts up at the end of the season, plus those on longer contracts are in decline, Paul McMullan is only 29, but he looks ancient! Plus his game time has declined the last 2 seasons or so.

Easton played them well, using us to leverage a lengthy contract that no Championship should be offering to a 31 year old. Good for him. Hanlon also is another season.

Is that an attractive option for a manager? What is Potters role in this also, he`s not a head coach at all, he`s been abysmal when he`s been there.

Potter is the director of football.

I don`t know if Potter is good or bad at his job but you generally only hear players say great things about him.

It seems like he might be getting a bit of stick here purely for remaining in post while multiple managers have been sacked.

I`m sure you are right, and he is good at the job he is in, and as a coach there`s plenty who have praised him, he`s been pretty terrible as a manager though. Nothing wrong with that, not that many coaches are, and also I don`t care either way, he`s at the Wee Team

They have rattled through the managers though, so it`s normal for that to raise a few eyebrows if he is the Director Of Football.

....So multiple managers have been sacked/paid off at The Rovers.

....& Potter remains.....or should that be Double Agent Potter!

As we know all too well, getting the right manager is hard. Can`t blame Potter for Raith sacking Murray when he seemed to be working wonders.
