My first 2 away games were the Scottish Cup games at Easter Road in 86 then 87.
Never saw any violence at either of those games, but my third away match was at Palmerston when there was fighting in and outside the ground.
As for this year`s game, my boss is a Hibbee & I messaged her on Sat to say - "Hibs at home next please" haha so you all have me to blame / thank!!
I`m sure the banter will be flying in the build up & after the game!!
Wish I could predict the lottery that well 🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣

Thats right Par.
We were walking down a street fairly quiet at this point and there was a Pars fan on his own walking infront of us (My uncle, cousin and me) this guy came running out of an alley way and grabbed the guys head and smashed it on a car roof. The Pars fan fell to the ground. My Uncle grabbed us and jogged to the bottom of the road with us. We then got to the bridge of doom and all hell broke loose, what seemed like hundreds of Hibs casuals came running at the Pars fans. I tripped up and cut my lip in the rammy. We got across the bridge and near Easter Road and there was mounted police on horses wacking folk and loads of fighting. Terrifying for an 8 year old going to their first away game. I told my Uncle after that game that I didn`t want to go back to the football. He wasn`t having it though and pushed me into going back. Never took me to Old Firm games or Hibs away again when we got promoted the year after to the Premier League for the first time.
Sounds brilliant! Those were the days. Football in the 80s and 90s was top class, pretty much all the teams had a handy wee crew, there was always a good mix of excitement and trepidation on an away day

I remember we drew Hibs at home in 1979. They were in the first division and we were in the second. I’m sure the game was on a Sunday and it was freezing. I think the players may have had trainers on instead of boots?
Mikey Leonard got our goal with a great volley. I never saw it hit the net as the crowd went up in anticipation in the north west.
Not sure what the crowd was, but it was packed.
I was at that game as a nipper in the main stand.
Not sure if it was a volley but it was certainly a pile driver from about 25 yards.
The next time I remember a cup game vs them was about 1981 in a game we had STV highlights.
Sandy McNaughton scored a great penalty but lost 2-1
Craig McFarlane had a late equaliser wrongly ruled out for offside.

Think you`re getting mixed up gramps, it was 1879 not 1979, when you were a nipper.

"Still remember Ross Jack belting one in at Easter Road!👍🏁🏁🏁 "
Was that not a League Cup 1/4 final - then we got humped 0-5 by Rangers at Hampden ?

I`m sure that was on an evening, If so, Craig MacFarlane scored the winner,/equaliser, but was chalked off! (Defo Scottish cup, but maybe different year)

Aye different year. Hibs won 2-1 after extra time with McFarland equaliser chalked off despite being onside

I will never say another bad word about the Scottish Cup draw.
Show off some wee teams who overachieved to qualify for that stage then straight to bussiness, job done, goodbye.
No need for any women with donuts on their heads, or men with shredded wheat for that matter (not now that Archie MacPherson is retired anyway.)
The enemy travels by private jet, not by dinghy.
