And you were right behind all the personnel decisions made by the three managers who dropped him? Maybe you have a very selective memory, only remembering events that suit your narrative. Reply |
| 42. Author: alwaysaPar Date: Mon 29th Dec 2025. 13:14 Everyone has selective memories when it comes to players they either dismiss as not good enough or whether they rate them. What is unfortunate in most cases during these discussions is the lack of many to respect other people`s opinions Reply |

With him between the sticks we’ve been relegated and had 2 seasons fighting relegation (outwith the league 1 season). It’s not all his fault however, dropping crosses/corners, passing to the opposition and missing saves he should have made certainly contributed. I don’t like beating him up because he’s got his positives but I think he’s a good backup keeper and that’s it. COYP Reply |
| 44. Author: thebear Date: Mon 29th Dec 2025. 14:08 For heavens sake!!!, players have ups and downs, good days and bad days. He has days when he was brilliant and others where he was poor, as a keeper poor means noticeably poor often giving goals away. Centre forwards don`t get this if they miss. It does not matter, he`s playing well and if he`s better than others play him Post Edited (Mon 29 Dec 14:09) Reply |

Everyone is jumping on this so called form arc he is on but he didn’t even acknowledge the Para fans on Saturday as he walked to the goals pre match. This guy has been part of every downfall since he signed his first contract at the Pars. To have a sweaty love in over 2 mediocre saves that he should be making is just a bit on the embarrassing side. Surely what makes a good keeper, if focusing only on the keeper and not the defence in front of him, Is for him to command his 18 yard box - he doesn’t. Come for a cross- fumbled two on Saturday and 3, an addition for yourself- save penalties and he never managed that on Saturday either! Reply |
| 46. Author: wee eck Date: Mon 29th Dec 2025. 15:04 I don`t get upset if a player doesn`t acknowledge the fans, nor do I have a `sweaty love in` with any of them. The fact that you`re now blaming him by association for everything that`s gone wrong in his time at the club speaks volumes as does your reference to penalties - which I hope was a poor attempt at humour. NL seemed to appreciate his contribution on Saturday and that`s all that matters really. Good managers don`t hold any grudges and keep an open mind on players who have their ups and downs. It`s a shame some fans don`t feel the same way. Reply |

| 48. Author: CitizenPar Date: Mon 29th Dec 2025. 15:21 I for one hope that Deniz will still be with us next season. I think he`s an asset to the Club, on and off the pitch, and a great help to the younger keepers. Reply |
| 49. Author: Berry Date: Mon 29th Dec 2025. 16:06 Thing with Deniz is - you’re judged pretty much on first impressions really aren’t you and can be difficult to change. Deniz was absolutely horrendous in his initial games, some howlers. He then spent most of the time scared to come out and own his box, lacked any confidence, flapped at everything. He had one good season under McPake when we won the league when he had one of the best defensive back four for that division. Then there was stalling over a contract deal that I wasn’t convinced he fully merited but to give him 3 years was an odd decision. He is a good penalty stopper. Terrell is young and will make mistakes but his distribution is better, commands the box better, comes out to clear balls better (although Tobi was better). Reply |
| 50. Author: Sacktheref69 Date: Mon 29th Dec 2025. 16:28 I wouldn`t be bothered if we let Deniz go at the end of the season. Deniz has been second choice and not trusted by everyone since the McPake days, and opting for untested younger keepers from both sides of the Glasgow divide instead of the experienced goalkeeper spoke volumes. He has a chance with Terrell sitting out due to disciplinary issues, and it`s up to him to grab the No. 1 spot and potentially a new contract. I personally think we should move on. This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it. Reply |

| 53. Author: BigTpar1986 Date: Mon 29th Dec 2025. 17:37 wee eck, Mon 29 Dec 16:59 Exactly what it says. He wasn’t good enough to play in front of an (albeit now English championship ) young keeper when we were relegated and it’s still the case now. He isn’t a championship level goalkeeper. Prove me otherwise. Even when he was injured and we brung in sharp from Dundee, people were complaining Deniz was our number one. I’ve seen you come away with some wild dross on here but being a deniz fan boy sums you up! Reply |
| 54. Author: wee eck Date: Mon 29th Dec 2025. 19:13 So you didn`t blame him for everything but now you do. I`ve never been called a `fan boy` before but, considering my age, I`ll take it as a compliment. You can`t `prove` anything that`s based on opinions. According to your profile you`ve only made 19 posts. Why the sudden prolificity? Maybe I should post some more `wild dross` just to encourage you. Haven`t you noticed there are other posters who think Deniz has been harshly criticised? Reply |
| 55. Author: jake89 Date: Mon 29th Dec 2025. 19:33 If Deniz was better than he is, he wouldn`t be playing for us. Terrell seems a good keeper but, like Deniz, would play in the Premier if he was better. Both are good keepers but people will always get angry about dodgy kicks or poor goals being conceded. I`m not sure who in the Championship would be a considerable upgrade tbh. Munn has potential but he`s a loan so no point in getting too attached. Reply |

Have I meant to be ashamed that I’ve only posted 19 times? The amount you post on here is valid enough evidence that volume doesn’t constitute quality. Reply |
| 57. Author: Indiapar1 Date: Mon 29th Dec 2025. 19:41 I think Munn will be going back to Rangers.i can see us working with Terrel and Mehmet for the remainder of the season. We have a greater need to bring in a forward player or two. G Wardrope Reply |
| 58. Author: red-star-par Date: Mon 29th Dec 2025. 19:51 Mehmet is a decent enough keeper at this level. I wouldn`t be too concerned if he was number 1 for the rest of the season. Evan Sofar seemed to hint in a tweet that it was a mistake by the previous owners to give someone at 30 years old a 3 year deal (although didn`t name him specifically) and I have heard it said that he was given big money, so I`d be surprised if his deal was extended Reply |
| 59. Author: Indiapar1 Date: Mon 29th Dec 2025. 20:00 I think his tweet was made in March this year in response to someone elses and referred to a 28 year old given a 3 year deal with no resale value to try and stave off relegation. I don`t think that was a reference to Deniz. I would hope that the owners would have a level of professionalism that rises above making such statements about our own players and their financial agreements with the club. | 60. Author: NMCmassive Date: Tue 30th Dec 2025. 00:34 I’ve got to be honest, it never worked out for Munn and him going back and leaving us with Terrell and Mehmet isn’t leaving us in a bad situation. On performance, I think Terrell is a better keeper. We’ve picked him up from Bournemouth where he was let go but they’re operating at a much higher level than us. I think he’s got potential to play at a higher level than the Scottish Championship. To me it’s a no brainier to give him the opportunity. It would be mad to stick with Mehmet who we know is at his ceiling and will never have either a sell on fee or be good enough to play in the Scottish premiership as a number 1 COYP Reply |
