Barring the errors, Arbroath was much improved, and with a bit of luck, we may have scored a couple more. Cut out the poor errors and there was a good chance we would have have got one and possibly three points from a game against the third best team in the league in conditions and on a pitch not the most condusive for good football. We are a work in progress - and for me, there has been significant progress. We are generally much better to watch, and the squad`s average skill level is higher. At times we can be very good with the three game Raith, Hibs and St J being our best spell of the season. People have short memories - we are in a Scottish Cup Quarter Final for the first time in 17 years, deservedly knocking out Premier League opposition. We are all frustrated by so many slow starts and slow tempo until we are behind. Hopefully we can somehow find a way to stop doing that. As the younger players get more experience they should get better. I would however like to see creative players like Josh Cooper given more game time. Let`s hope we can bounce back on Tuesday and Billy Terrell is fit to play. Reply |
