I`m actually being disrespectful. They were terrible cause we made them look terrible. We never give them 1 second of sniff around to think about anything. In their faces for 90+ mins and it showed after half time, their season was done . 10 mins of pressure (probably), nothing to show and their fans were on their backs. Can`t fault anything tonight. Every man had a job and it worked. Cracking atmosphere. Ah. Apologies for this northern monkey here shouting encouragement for Pars from minute 1 till the end. It seems (in the main stand anyway) it`s frowned upon unless Pars are 1/ winning and 2/ there`s a Hampden Park semi on the horizon. I`m not by any means a potty mouth fan( I f#@&+g can be!) so I`m just guessing some don`t like loud non local encouragement.w I`ll stick with the Norrie stand from now on. Anyway.. worth the trip today and back home tomorrow. Hampden Park anyone? I`ll be there! Cheers all! I blame Andy Rhodes for this! Post Edited (Sun 08 Mar 02:47) Reply |

| 108. Author: Townsvillepar Date: Sat 7th Mar 2026. 22:43 I could watch the game live in Australia. How good were the Pars? Every player played well and completely out played Aberdeen. I agree with Oz, the referee was good, and I am the same as Buffy with tears rolling down my face. Very proud of our team tonight (this morning!) Reply |

| 112. Author: Angus_W Date: Sat 7th Mar 2026. 23:09 Unbelievable atmosphere in the ground tonight, whole crowd backed the team to the hilt. Thought the NW Ultras were going to Blitzkreig the pitch when Olly stuck the third one in. I’m old & have witnessed a lot of ups and downs at EEP but that was really special tonight. Well done Pars. You’ve seen the Pars now please go home! Reply |
| 113. Author: Socks Date: Sat 7th Mar 2026. 23:32 Not many nights like that watching the Pars. And whatever happens in the semi, we should still remember this one because that was pretty special. Decent start to the game but I was a bit worried when Aberdeen came into it and exposed us with quick play a couple of times. I don`t think our system was working too well at that point and we could see the weakness of playing 3 forwards, but in the end it came good. Having got through that spell, then scored ourselves, we were able to control the game pretty well and the system allowed us to go to pretty much 5-4-1 without the ball, and shifted quickly when we had it ourselves. It worked well over the game. The key to the win was getting through that spell at the start of the second half when we were under pressure and had to defend for a long period. We did really well, then did even better to score on the break with our first attack of the second half. That goal knocked Aberdeen flat and from then on we weren`t in much danger. We had to play well tonight and we did that. A great effort from them all individually, and a brilliant effort as a team. I love it when I`m able to say we played well as a team. Reply |
| 114. Author: pars_gal Date: Sat 7th Mar 2026. 23:35 Absolutely brilliant performance tonight. Great pieces of play, long balls across the park that were received perfectly with brilliant first touches, fantastic movement, peeling aberdeen players away to leave the wingers with space to run with the ball. Just buzzing from it. Currently rewatching it. Its been a long day with nerves, that didnt settle until the 3rd goal really. Bring on Hampden!!!! Reply |

| 118. Author: Stanza Date: Sat 7th Mar 2026. 23:55 Take nothing away from Pars, the team was magnificent. Getting in at the Aberdeen defence from the start meant they resorted to long ball clearances. The only worrying times were near the start of each half when Aberdeen moved the ball quickly and threatened to score - albeit without ever seriously troubling Oxborough. We looked like the Premiership team and could have scored two or three more. But what a gutless, leaderless performance that was from Aberdeen. They played without belief or urgency, and nobody took it upon himself to fire them up - I`m looking at you, Graham Shinnie, Stewart Armstrong, Peter Leven. When Mullen was getting treatment, I think it was 2-0 at the time and still all to play for, every Aberdeen player stood about 10 yards from each other - no communication at all, never mind any encouragement. When the 3rd goal went in after a spell of Aberdeen pressure they were psychologically well beaten. _________________ Support Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters` Club (DADSC) when you shop online with one of 8000 firms: http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/dadsc[Reply |
| 119. Author: JTH123 Date: Sun 8th Mar 2026. 00:15 A night that will live long in the memory. From Matty`s early peach of a goal to young Tod encouraging the fans down in the corner near the end. It was a fantastic performance. I said at HT against Hibs that the tactics were spot on. We contained them and then we got the late winner. Never in my dreams did I expect us go at Aberdeen like that tonight. The third goal was superb and came just at the right time. Credit Chris Kane for the pass to Thomas. I thought Kane`s workrate was fantastic tonight. The thing that stands out for me is the composure that this young team has when they are in pressure situations. They should be very proud tonight.
