Not sure if posted elsewhere but Easton and imrie were arguing after he was taken off. He threw something when got to dugout and then they exchanged words. Clearly ruffled gaffers feathers so hauled them in for Sunday training. To add tho taking Easton off was a silly sub he always looks dangerous.

Imrie must be worried, not least about his job. They haven`t made any progress since he took over and maybe he`s just realising what a nest of vipers he`s inherited.

Funny to hear Imrie complaining that his team were not mean enough, leaving the foot in - unlike previously when the wee team were the dirty bassas.

Imrie was upset about Easton sorting his curtains mid game.

Imrie made a couple pf important comments during his post match interview.

1. He has inherited the squad
2. Some players think they should be playing at a higher level than they are

These comments were mixed in with support for the players the need to improve and ultimately the buck stops with him. He probably needs to limp along make to the end of the season and start again. I thought myself there were players in the RR team that werent playing for him. On the flip side professionally you should go out every week and try to do your best. There may be ups and downs in performances but it shouldnt be due to lack of effort.

I disagree tbh, he didnt look dangerous on saturday anyways, always a backwards pass, and if he did play it forward it was wild and overhit, also turley had him in his back pocket most of the game

Last time I heard a Raith manager come out and condemn players a bit like that, it was John Hughes...and we all remember how that went..history repeating itself?

Yep that was my thought after listening to his interview. If I were to read between the lines at RR and recent events, I suspect that they have little room to manouvre financially and perhaps he has been brought in to"do more with less" to quote typical management terminology when someone has been brought in to make changes.

No, evo, Hughes was far more scathing. He mentioned how they turned up in their fancy cars on the Monday morning, laughing and joking after losing 5-0 v relegation rivals St Mirren. Imrie`s post-match comments were far more measured in comparison, although he didn`t miss them.

Not your average Sunday League player.

Other than his shot that went just wide I agree but I was more meaning he’s a player who can get you a goal from nothing even if he’s been poor. Was happy to see him go off.

Their squad is so poor, so to then have Brown, McMullan and Byrne out leaves them very short.

Innes Cameron looked pretty limited. However, after whatever happened that he went crazy at the ref, he suddenly was a man possessed. Maybe a rocket is what they all needed.

Their performance reminded me a bit of a McPake team, not in style but in fielding little creativity, falling behind, and having no way to respond.

I do wonder how much that supposed `bumper` deal for Easton, coming at a similar time to their investors backing off, has actually screwed them up.

I think he`s realised that most of the pensioners are signed up for next season as well, so he`s lumbered with them- we had this in the past "experience" that just turns out to be toxic and injured a lot.

He`s a good manager, but the Rovers keep sacking decent managers. Turns out if you sign a whole load of guys in their 30s it`s just one last payday, and no motivation.

Looks like the players, and the budget will be cut a lot next season I`m sure .

When I heard Brown was out I thought it would be a difficult day for them. Easton is much less effective when Brown doesn’t play, and Raith have relied heavily upon Easton for a while now, so when he goes off the boil, does that mean the whole team doesn’t play. They are absolutely now in the relegation mix. Personally I want them to stay up, but very much want them to suffer so I can enjoy what we have had to endure from them for the last couple of seasons. As that is our last game against them, I truly hope their form picks up now as they will take points from our rivals for the 3/4 spot if that is the case

The might have pipped Ross County to being the worst team I`ve seen at EEP in a long time.
