I seriously doubt they were called in for training on a Sunday - what would that achieve ? Would only cause resentment in an already unsettled dressing room. Reply |

Forgot Vaughan was on until he was subbed. Dylan Easton looked disinterested. Wee team need a clear out. Easton must have been kicking himself for taking the money in summer COYP Reply |

That’s not really a good look. Is there something about his character that’s not right? We were right not to sign him. Reply |
| 26. Author: Berkey Date: Tue 17th Mar 2026. 09:14 I dunno Zod, sometimes it just takes something to click and a player can really step up his game. Same happened with Joe cardle who we scooped up from airdrie and he turned out pretty good. This league is brutal if you are not on your game both physically and mentally. Being even just slightly off really shows as your constantly facing a physical test against hatchet men. If they players are not 100% committed in challenges etc then they either want rid of imrie or suspect they will be away in the summer and don’t want to get an injury or a combination of both! We’ve all seen it the last few years, when the intensity drops in this league you don’t get many points and you can’t carry many players. As for Easton i think he would have made a big difference for us at the start of the season with experience etc but we have brought players in and the team is full in confidence now. Reply |

Dealing with that and the various ramifications must be a big part of management and they only recently appointed someone to replace John Potter as general manager/chief executive so that might be a factor. On the other hand they do have the carrot of a place in the Challenge Cup final team to dangle as an incentive! Reply |

| 30. Author: jake89 Date: Tue 17th Mar 2026. 11:13 I don`t think there`s an issue with Easton at Raith, but there`s clearly an issue at Raith. Although Easton comes across a bit like a panto villain, he`s a nice guy and used to work really well with the kids at the Joe Cardle academy. There`s clearly unrest at Raith who I`d say got overly cocky, sacked a decent manager and have struggled since. They`re now in similar hire and fire cycle as we were. Who wants to play at a club where the manager is constantly looking over his shoulder checking if the CEO is about to cut you or your playing budget? Reply |

| 32. Author: AdamAntsParsStripe Date: Tue 17th Mar 2026. 17:58 I think the age of the Raith team is an issue and Dougie Imrie clearly recognises that players have downed tools to a degree when they know they might not get a new contract even if they somehow went up which they won’t now. It’s nothing new in football but he has a huge job rebuilding that squad next season. Zwei Pints Bier und ein Päckchen Chips bitte ![]() Reply |
| 33. Author: da_no_1 Date: Tue 17th Mar 2026. 18:57 I`m not sure they`ve necessarily "downed tools" Most of their squad just isn`t that good. I wouldn`t have any if their players in our team as it stands As for their latest signing Big Innes......he makes Roddy Grant look mobile "Some days will stay a 1000 years, some pass like the flash of a spark" Post Edited (Tue 17 Mar 18:58) Reply |
| 34. Author: Indiapar1 Date: Tue 17th Mar 2026. 19:46 I thought the same. The red flag signs at RR are similar to us a few seasons ago. No doubt Dylan Easton made a choice that he felt best for him at the time. The harder decision at the time would have been to come to us. Im sure there were several factprs he had to consider with respect to his future. We all make choices. At the end of the day, things happen for a reason. I think with the decisions the manahement have made, we are in a good position. I think that Callum Morrison has come in and he has given 100%. Has taken a few weeks to get up to speed, but I am always wary of players who come in, are great in their first game then fade away. Likewise for players like Olly Thomas, Keiran etc etc. Its not about how you start, its how you finish that matters. G Wardrope Post Edited (Wed 18 Mar 07:24) Reply |

| 38. Author: Bucuresti Par Date: Wed 18th Mar 2026. 14:54 If players contracts are expiring, it should be more of a motivational than demotivational factor. If these guys are playing poorly at Raith, there is hardly going to be a queue of other Championship clubs keen to offer them similar or better terms next season. Unless they have a pre contract lined up of course, then that can be a real issue. Easton and Vaughan are their only 2 dangerous forwards, was happy that both got subbed on Saturday, because even if they were both off their game, still much more likely than any of their other players to come up with a goal. Easton would have been a good addition for us had we got him in July/August, but that ship has sailed now. His peak has probably come and gone. This should be an extended period of Pars domination of Raith now, the natural order restored...now for Falkirk. Reply |
