Hammy and Matty were exactly what we needed to get out of League 1 first time of asking. I`ll always remember them and thank them for that. A wee bit of the Pars goes with them.

Very best wishes to them both.

There`s a nice farewell message from Hammy on COWS.

Personally I thought he could still do a job for the club. Still after 4 years maybe its time for him to go elsewhere and get regular game time. He was there when we needed him, slotted into the centre of defence to help out in difficult times. I wish him well, he has been a good servant at the club.

That was a great message from Hammy on the website.

Surprised about Bene, but he`s been a really good captain, has a real rapport with the fans, so I can definitely see the need for his presence.

Sad to see Hammy go, but for his own career and for us it`s probably for the better. The others released as expected. Good luck.

Raises the question as to why Oakley-Boothe started ahead of Cooper, Kane and Rudden in the final if he wasn’t deemed good enough to keep?

I think his performance in the final was a nail in a coffin

I’m really surprised Hamilton was let go. Sentiment aside, he’s a decent player and was outstanding on occasions last season and, in my opinion, easily good enough to be part of a championship winning squad. I’ll scratch my head however and let the manager get on with his job.

Sad to see players leave especially Matty & Hamilton. They have all had there moments where they have done good. All the best to them in the future, just don’t comeback and score against us.
I think Bene working behind the scenes helping mentor the young lads and playing in games where required is a great idea.
The squad does need a rebuild with stronger/ more experienced players on the bench if we want to be champions next season. The current owners and NL are our best chance of doing this rebuild correctly. We’ve struggled a bit with summer signings previously so I’m hopeful of getting a big name in early doors to show our intent. It’s gonna be a exciting time seeing who we get in.

Sad to see good guys go. But suppose, sitting in the stands we all think we know better.Obviously, that’s not the case.We have to trust our management team, and remaining players ,and new guys coming in,to move us forward, hopefully to better things. From a personal point of view,it’s be a fantastic season,I have loved every minute,so I say thank you,to every single one at east end, past and present.

I think as pars fans we are to sentimental over past players. Don’t get me wrong players leaving have been great for the team BUT we are going for promotion next season and require experienced players to take us there..maybe a couple of raw players that want to prove themselves.
IMO Matty Todd needs a different atmosphere/team to progress and Iv no doubt he will improve as he has the desire to get to the top.
Hammy..a player you could rely on when the going gets tough in games but deffo yellow card as soon as he came on.
Bene giving a coach role for the younger lads and on the bench to shore things up with 10 mins to go is a good move.
The others let go and I wish them all well but it’s a good decision.
This is our year that we need promotion and we need better players to achieve this. Will be a very interesting transfer window and expect some unknown players coming in like last season.

Are we sure how much Neil Lennon has to do with player recruitment? John Colquhoun seems to be the one doing most of that.

Doesn`t NL have to approve all signings though?
