| 42. Author: Berkey Date: Mon 8th Jun 2026. 21:51 Tod had a great season but still plenty games where he looked well off it in terms of quality in addition to being jaded. Fyfe needs a loan deal where he’ll be getting regular game time, if he’s getting that here it means we’ve got injuries to key players, I didn’t see anything in his limited appearances to suggest he’s a championship level player at this point. Young more likely to get a chance ahead of him, he’s done more in league 2 last season than I fancy Fyfe would have done regardless of age. | 43. Author: desparado Date: Mon 8th Jun 2026. 23:22 I would like to see Young get a chance in pre season and Betfred cup games. Cooper got a contract extension based on a couple of good early games last season…. What an opportunity we missed in 2014. Reply |
| 44. Author: CrossPar Date: Tue 9th Jun 2026. 08:06 As we are light up front, I think Young will get an opportunity to show whether he can up his game to where we need it to be. He hasn`t shown that with us yet, although he has done well at lower levels. Reply |

| 46. Author: wee eck Date: Tue 9th Jun 2026. 10:59 There`s a piece about Connor Young in today`s Courier. He scored 14 goals for East Kilbride last season and is highly thought of by EK manager, Mick Kennedy. Here are some of the things he said about him - `He was outstanding for us. We wouldn’t have won the league without him, to be honest with you. So, we were delighted to have him.` `...he’s got all the attributes. He’s dedicated, athletic, looks after himself, and has unbelievable technique.` `He’s a great professional. there’s no issues in terms of his professionalism or standards or anything like that. He’s a really good kid and he’s got a real chance in the game to progress his career. And he’s only young as well – he’s still only 21. So, who knows, it might be better for Connor that he gets back out on loan for another year?` It`s almost as if he`s deliberately countering some of the criticisms NL allegedly had of CY! It might suit all parties if he spent another year with EK at a higher level. Reply |
| 47. Author: jake89 Date: Tue 9th Jun 2026. 11:33 Similar to Todd and Ngwenya, it sounds like a player was given some critical feedback, learned from it and improved? Give Young a chance in some friendlies and see how he goes. Reply |
| 48. Author: Sacktheref69 Date: Tue 9th Jun 2026. 11:41 wee eck, Tue 9 Jun 10:59 I think we definitely need to see what he can do in League One before deciding whether he`s ready to make the jump to the Championship. So far, he hasn`t looked competent at this level in his previous 12 appearances. If he can secure a loan move to League One and still put up good numbers, then we can start to assess whether he`s capable of making the step up to Championship football. This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it. Reply |

If it is received as criticism, it may be how this has been perceived by the player. From the other perspective it can be honest and transparent feedback on what and where you need to improve in an effort to help them progress their career. G Wardrope Reply |
| 50. Author: KnebworthPar Date: Tue 9th Jun 2026. 19:48 I’d like to see Young get a chance. His appearances for us were in a piss poor side creating absolutely nothing. He looks like he can finish so I hope he gets a chance to show us what he can do. If he doesn’t then Lennon doesn’t rate him obviously and he seems to have an eye for a player so can only back the manager in these circumstances. Reply |
| 51. Author: Berkey Date: Wed 10th Jun 2026. 12:10 Interesting sacktheref, if you go by the logic of wanting to see how he gets on at league 1 level then Andy tod would have been out on loan at league 1 level last season. He deserves a chance, I know league 2 isn’t a great level but it’s higher that what Fyfe has played at and he’s getting a chance. | 53. Author: Sacktheref69 Date: Wed 10th Jun 2026. 17:09 Berkey, Wed 10 Jun 12:10 I don`t think we played Fyfe by choice. He has probably found himself in that position largely due to injuries to Rudden and Thomas. If we learned anything from last season, it`s that we`ll have greater strength in depth. Fyfe instead ready yet and if we want to go up next season I`d hope we can get someone experienced at this level instead of pinning hopes on a guy who hasn`t been tested higher than league 2. This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it. Reply |
| 54. Author: livipar2 Date: Fri 12th Jun 2026. 07:56 Big article in the Courier about recruitment which essentially says nothing. Only insightful part was the last paragraph. “And Courier Sport understands dialogue is progressing with a number of possible targets as Lennon looks to rebuild for another promotion push next term.“ Still not heard even one name rumoured. | 58. Author: Toolsy76 Date: Fri 12th Jun 2026. 10:30 Always a slow time in the transfer market around now with better players looking at options or still coming back from holidays etc. Yes players are moving around in the championship but Lennon knows where he needs to strengthen for the upcoming season. It would be great to have new players in for pre-season but probably going to be 50-50. Patience required unfortunately........ -------------------- Reply |
| 59. Author: Bandy Date: Fri 12th Jun 2026. 10:56 Agreed - if we`re active but no-one knows the names then that`s a positive thing in my view. We pulled a few rabbits out of the hat last summer - Kearney, Abdulai, Amade and Fraser - they`ve all been really good signings. Caceres was a rabbit out of the hat too- although that one just didn`t work out. you can`t win them all. None of the signings our championship rivals have made have made me jealous, so I`m pretty comfortable with our approach. We do need a lot of players in - and it`s big shame to be losing 3 first choice picks for nothing - but all we can do is look to replace them with better. Reply |
