Reported on sky this morning that if Morocco backed him, he would give them the next World Cup final.
The man is as corrupt as Blatter.

My experience is that in every successful organisation, whether it is a commercial business, a charity or non-profit society, a football club or even a government or army, there is always one person who takes the lead, is the driving force and makes the big decisions, whatever his or her title.

However, I do agree that in every organisation there should also be an oversight board of some sort that acts as a check on that individual, as sooner or later he or she will make a terrible mistake.

No surprise that Argentina have come out in support of Infantino and FIFA.
I wonder how that will affect the’independent’ inquiry into the Argentinian antics following the WCF 🤔

Oz said.
‘It was Havelange who came up with the idea of breaking the status quo, Europe`s comfortable financial monopoly of world football, which he had inherited from Sir Stanley Rous. He did this by allocating more and more money from central funds to the smaller countries for development, thus ingratiating himself with a broader voting base in FIFA.’

My memory of reading Yallop’s book many years ago was that Havelange sold in advance the advertising/sponsorship rights for the next three world cups to fund his largesse thus securing his position with the support of the smaller countries.
Infantino clearly read the book too!

Argentina midfielder Leandro Paredes has been given a 10-match ban for the role he played in on-field clashes after his side were beaten 1-0 by Spain in the 2026 World Cup final.

Fifa`s disciplinary committee has also handed his team-mate Nahuel Molina a seven-match suspension.

Argentina have also been ordered to play their next two home matches behind closed doors, though one match of that sanction is suspended.

Argentina’s next two home games have to be played at 50% capacity (one match suspended) plus a $321k fine.
