However, I do agree that in every organisation there should also be an oversight board of some sort that acts as a check on that individual, as sooner or later he or she will make a terrible mistake. _________________ Support Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters` Club (DADSC) when you shop online with one of 8000 firms: http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/dadsc[Reply |

He did this by allocating more and more money from central funds to the smaller countries for development, thus ingratiating himself with a broader voting base in FIFA.’ My memory of reading Yallop’s book many years ago was that Havelange sold in advance the advertising/sponsorship rights for the next three world cups to fund his largesse thus securing his position with the support of the smaller countries. Infantino clearly read the book too! Reply |

Author: wee eck Date: Fri 21st Aug 2026. 15:28 Argentina midfielder Leandro Paredes has been given a 10-match ban for the role he played in on-field clashes after his side were beaten 1-0 by Spain in the 2026 World Cup final. Fifa`s disciplinary committee has also handed his team-mate Nahuel Molina a seven-match suspension. Argentina have also been ordered to play their next two home matches behind closed doors, though one match of that sanction is suspended. Reply |
