Absolutely buzzing tonight! On chances, a draw probably would’ve been a fair result overall, but with the amount of the ball we had, I always felt we had the upper hand and was delighted when the breakthrough finally came.

The longer it stayed 0-0 though, the more worried I got. I kept thinking it was going to be another Ayr or Livi, plenty of the ball without actually making it count. But Kane and Tod changed things when they came on, then Cooper did what Cooper does and sent EEP into absolute raptures.

That’s not meant as a slight on Adams either. I thought he was excellent tonight and can be really proud of his performance. He’d just started to fade out of the game by the time Kane came on.

It’s already been said about Rudden, but effort is pretty much all he gives you. I’ve said on here before that I’ve never been totally convinced by him, and tonight the quality just wasn’t there. Sadly, I thought the same could be said for Morrison.

Lennon has said that if the right forward becomes available then we’re interested. If this is the formation he intends to stick with, then surely a left sided forward has to be the priority.

Don’t really want to repeat everything that’s already been said tonight. I’m just absolutely chuffed with that and hopefully it’s the win that properly kick-starts our season.

Dylan is actually a decent guy. I am mates with him and he is sound. I get we don`t like him but off the pitch he is a good guy.

Ox rightly getting praise here for making some great saves. Shouldn`t be forgotten however that the Raith keeper also made some outstanding saves.

Lennons tactics were spot on tonight. Put a big physical side out against the usual Imrie team and compete…then bring on more technical players who will move the ball quicker..just look at our goal..more or less 3 passes and in the back of the net.
Big Ox is going to win us points…

That was a hard-fought and deserved win against as experienced a squad as there is in the Championship. Our back line were all excellent and I`m starting to believe we can get over losing JCM and KN. A lot of the new boys will have gained valuable experience of how hard you have to fight to get points in this league. We seem to well covered all over the pitch now except for having more threat in attack. Maybe somebody in the Scott Tiffoney mould. Over to you NL, 6 days to go so no pressure.

Once we beat Arbroath and Queens Park to build on the momentum of tonight, then rag doll Morton right at the back of it, we might very well be top of the league by 5pm on the 19th of Sept.

Thoughts on tonight,
Dylan Lobban immense.
Harding is a rolls Royce of a centre half, unbelievable the kid is only 20.
Adams strikes fear into centre halves - confirmed.
Zak Rudden, unbelievable he can call himself a professional footballer and not be lying about it.
Joshy Cooper - needs to start the next 3 at least.

For me we’ve been the better team but have nothing in the box and Rudden is just wasting all the good work. Adams looks lazy and needs to get moving about. Morrison is a bit better than normal. But overall we can’t score and don’t look like it either

Seen some mental takes on this forum. This take on Adams up there with the best of them. The boy doesn`t stop running.

Amade - been superb all season so far.
Abdulai - best centre half in the league
A. Tod - looked great off the bench tonight, I’d keep him there for the next few though.
Fraser - not as dangerous playing in a back 4 compared to when he’s bursting forward as a wing back. Love him though, he’s been great for the pars no complaints. If he could cross a ball he wouldn’t be playing for us, he’d be playing at a much higher level.
Ox - 🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍
Morrison - why are we hitting long high balls constantly to one of the smallest players on the park? Does my brain in. He maybe lacks but at least give him a chance. Giving him balls where he needs to compete in the air with anybody is bizarre.
Oyirwoth - looks very good and only going to get better. Can’t wait to see him play once he’s fully settled in.

Agreed. Thought Adams especially in the first half was superb. Pace, power and good in the air.

Credit to Raith TV for getting the highlights out so quickly and sharing them on to YouTube.

In his post match Dougie Imrie says there was nothing in it. Watching their highlights now I`d say we clearly had the better of it and deserved to win.

Delighted with that effort tonight.Players gave their all,a great game to watch. We look a very fit side, full blooded tackles, nobody pulled out of responsibility, long may it continue! Lennon ,got everything spot on,well done all! I personally, would have made ox,man of the match, but that’s my opinion.

Ox made 1 unbelievable save and a good stop from Tiffoney.

Josn Rae had 4 really good saves.

My MOM would`ve been Abdulai or Cleal-Harding. They bossed Dowds.

Table looks a bit better tonight!

It does, and i thought that was a magnificent performance tonight - Raith were wasting time at goal kicks etc for the first 88 minutes.

But this league is so tight that it`s quite possible we`ll be 3rd-bottom after Saturday`s games!

It was one of the most pleasing things about scoring late on, Raith`s attempts to shrink the game ultimately scuppered any chance of a response to our goal.

We never panicked, the team just seemed to have a belief that the game winning chance would always come.

having watched the goal several times it`s really well constructed. Tod did really well on the left side bringing the ball back from the attacking half into our own half then switching the ball to the right side then moving up the left side for the ball to eventually come back to him before playing in Fraser. Gilmour was also involved early in the move near the half way line and then ran into the box to receive Fraser`s pass then lay it off to Cooper to score. Excellent team goal well worth watching back again.

And having watched it back again I reckon 8 of our players were involved in that passage of play starting with Ox and major contributions from Tod and Gilmour.
