| 22. Author: wee eck Date: Fri 11th Sep 2026. 12:46 That`s a fair point, LA. In his latest bulletin NL is saying that both Olly and Freddie will probably not be match fit until after the international break because they missed out on pre-season training. Reply |

| 25. Author: onandupthepars Date: Fri 11th Sep 2026. 13:36 According to Pars website, when he signed it says, `Thomas now returns fully recovered and looking to pick up where he left off.` That misled me into thinking he was fit. Clearly he wasn`t `fully recovered` as NL says from the latest preview v QP: `Olly Thomas and Freddie are the only two absentees from the squad now just through long-term injury.` Which bulletin do you mean Wee Eck? | 28. Author: wee eck Date: Fri 11th Sep 2026. 14:38 Here`s the bit from the Courier - Meanwhile, Lennon admits Olly Thomas and Freddie Turley may not be seen in action for another month. Both had loans spells at Dunfermline cut short because of injuries in the second half of last season. Turley has since returned to the Pars on loan from Derby County and Thomas has penned an initial one-year deal in a permanent switch from Bristol City. However, Turley has not played since April because of an ankle issue and Thomas has spent a month longer on the sidelines following surgery on his thigh. The pair have been given extra conditioning work to restore them to the required fitness, and Lennon has revealed they are still some way short of where they need to be. “You’ll not see Olly until after the international break,” added Lennon. “He had an injury, so this week he’s doing a bit of conditioning work, and it’ll be the same again next week. And then the break comes up after the Morton game. That’ll give us another couple of weeks to get him really well conditioned and robust enough to be a part of the squad. I don’t know how much he’s done pre-season, so he’s just in assessment mode at the minute and he’s doing conditioning work. I don’t want to rush him. The last thing I want is to bring him back and then injure him again. He looks in reasonable condition when you look at him, but he’s still got a bit of work to do yet.” Lennon added: “Freddie will be a while. He’ll probably be in the same boat as Olly It’s a question of just wrapping him up and keeping him out of the way for a few weeks, just to build him up cardiovascular-wise and physically.” Reply |
