Author: parsj Date: Sat 12th Sep 2026. 16:53 Prefacing this mostly tongue in cheek comment by saying generally I’m quite impressed with the DAFC Live service, it’s a big improvement on Pars TV in my opinion. I think Stephen Mills is a good host and main commentator, doesn’t try to do too much. However, the co-commentator today is making me really feel like I’m at East End in that you’re almost guaranteed to be sat near some old chap that shouts the same three soundbites over and over again for 90 mins: - “Move the ball quickly.” - “Need to defend this properly.” - “Give nothing away here.” Good win and can see the players getting to know each other week on week. Welcome three points but these Jekyll and Hyde performances are very concerning. Lennon needs to sort out the issues we seem to have in the second 45…QP were very poor FH and that probably made us look better than we really are. As soon as they started mixing it better and pressing we just went to pot and could hardly string three passes together. Think Tod needs dropped for more than one game tbh as he was very poor today.. What an opportunity we missed in 2014. Reply |
| 35. Author: Stozy Date: Sat 12th Sep 2026. 16:57 Good to get the 3 points, disappointing not to score more goals, especially in the first half. Seemed like an ideal match to improve the GD. Still too much passing back and sideways when a forward move is open for my liking. Need to move the ball faster too at times. Seemed to lose all shape and attacking threat after the subs came on. Ref was poor as usual. Overly fussy. Onwards and upwards. Reply |

Amada and Oyiwroth starting in the middle of midfield. Then the remaining four based on form/tactics/opposition. Cooper has to keep starting for now. Macleod almost certainly gets himself a start next week. I`m not sure Adams and Tod hold onto their places, but both put in a lot of work off the ball. Thomas can probably do everything that Adams does. Will Morrison ever get the jersey back? Reply |

Very frustrating that we couldn`t continue the momentum after half time and really boost the goal difference. While QP didn`t look especially dangerous, a scrambled goal in the last 10 minutes would definitely have caused a panic! Didn`t think the subs worked, especially withdrawing Amade whose only game weakness is his unwillingness to ever have a shot at goal. After a quiet first half, the ref came on to a right stinker. Must have been on a yellow card bonus scheme. Reply |
