Several players were excellent yesterday, but Nurudeen Abdulai was quite simply outstanding, both defensively and in his sorties upfield. He`s strong, resilient and skillful. It would have been brilliant to see him score as that would have capped a peerless display.

He`s a great player. Surely he will go at some point for a club record fee.

He is every bit as good or arguably even better than Chilokoa Mullen. Don`t know what contract he is on but the club must ensure we don`t lose him in the same way. He is capable of playing at a high level.

From my 20 min of viewing I’d say Abdulai too but also Lobban. What a player he is.

I think we were all apprehensive about the loss of JCM and Ngwenya but Abdulai has flourished since they left and SCH has proved to be an astute signing. Donnelly, Robinson and J Tod may struggle for game time if they stay fit and NL sticks with playing with two CBs.

I thought he was under contract until May 2028, but I could be wrong.

Or for next to nothing on freedom of contract..

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Here`s hoping he is.

He will only go for a good fee if we manage to go up. Transfer fees paid at this level are a pittance. Surely our owners must know this or their plan is flawed.

I think there`s a fair amount of evidence to suggest our owners would prefer us to be playing in the Premier League.

Abdulai by a mile.

I think having owners who are not so fussed about balancing the books will help us turn down low ball offers for some of our players.

3 year contract signed on 1st September 2025.

Just balancing up the negativity with a bit positivity.

Yes, Sam is a very good player.

I`ll just say he reminds me of a young Kaiser Franz Beckenbauer. Those who were lucky enough to see him at the 1966 WC will maybe agree?

Ffs… beckenbauer 😂

I think he’s our best defender and he’s just had a good performance against arguably the worst team in the Scottish championship but are we really trying to compare him to someone like Beckenbauer? Bit early is it not?

Also worth noting that some folk have only heard of Beckenbauer because of FIFA so have no way of agreeing or disagreeing.

He completely bosses the games, a move ahead of everyone else I think. I noticed even when he`s going up for a high ball, he`s heading into space or to our player.

If we get promoted, he will go way higher - Kaiser Abdulai!

Calm down, young fella! 😄 I only said he reminds me of a young Beckenbauer (in the way he brings the ball out from the back). He has a very long way to go yet.

And QP are not the worst team in the Championship. There`s no argument about it. Have a look at the table. It really rips my knitting when folk detract from our team`s performances by suggesting that the opposition was very poor. Queens Park had taken 4 pts from 2 games before yesterday, including a draw at Frirhill.... 🙄
