Wouldn’t be adverse to Mick Kennedy, he’s done a good job over the years at EK. Comes across as a bit of a banger but there’s plenty of them.

The grass is always greener...

A Hibs fan I know said the football was dire under David Gray and he had to go.

What did Scott Brown achieve at Fleetwood and Ayr?

Why would Steve Clarke want to manage a Scottish Championship club?

In any case, Russell Martin`s still manager of Leicester and I suspect our owners have more faith in our manager than some on here.

I would be sorry to see NL move on.he has the makings of a good squad and they look like a team who can compete in the premiershio if we can get out of this division. I hope he stays, there is still work to do.

For balance Wee Eck, do you have the comments from fans of clubs Neil Lennon has managed?

Well the Hibs fan said he enjoyed the football they played when NL was manager and he took them back into the Premiership. I know some Celtic fans don`t rate him but he had a decent record there.

Tbh, I`m only interested in what he has done with us and I`d say `so far, so good`.

Fans of every team in the League, apart from Stenny, probably think they should be `doing better`. If that was the criterion for getting rid of the manager the whole thing would be chaos. What would you consider to be acceptable after 8 games?

Who said about getting rid of him? I’m sure the point of the opening post was what happens if he decides to go. What would I consider acceptable? Realistically in the top two but we aren’t going to be near promotion if we can’t score more goals. Don’t get me wrong I like Lennon. I usually agree with most of what he says post match but the point I’m making is would it be such a great loss? We haven’t achieved anything yet. I’m sure other managers in the division would like the funds and squad size we have.

Did I imagine last season when we got to the play-offs and the Cup Final? Some folk have very short memories.

Only 1 person mentions sacking him.

Most are debating "if he goes"

It would be a massive loss. In terms of achieving anything does a Scottish cup final not count🤷‍♂️

I’d like to think an achievement for us would be winning a trophy and not just reaching a final. Similar to teams such as St Johnstone,St Mirren, Ross county, Inverness.

Disappointing to see an interesting thread purposefully derailed.

So playoffs in a 10 team league is acceptable with our level spending? 🤦🏻‍♂️

I am not sure there has been a high level of spending. In any case its about value not cost. The players we have at the club are mainly development players. I see it as a dual approach; develop players who may move on to other things and develop a team around those players to gain promotion. I think we are at the point where the players overall are performing as a team. You can`t legislate for players missing open goals. When that gets sorted, we are promotion candidates. The foundation is there. We have dominated in most games this season.

I see the goalposts are being moved again. It`s not good enough to reach our first Cup Final since 2007, we should have won it, regardless of the fact we were a Championship side. And the play-offs are no achievement as you only need to be 4th in a league of 10, despite the fact we`ve struggled to do it most years.

For some folk it`s simple. throw a shedload of money at it and you should get instant success. Needless to say, nobody actually knows what any team`s budget is and parachute payments can be conveniently ignored.

I`m not even considering this subject, every time a managers job comes up we hear it all the time they are interested in NL , maybe it` worth considering NL is happy doing what he is doing here and trying build something thatbhe can put his name against !
So as long as he is here he has my support , and we all know he is as frustrated as us at the lack of goals per chances , something i am sure will work out ok
