Our recruitment in the last year or 2 since the club was sold is shocking and should be questioned. The amount of players we’ve signed who aren’t close to the level required is scandalous. Reply |
| 24. Author: Berkey Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 18:57 Groundhog Day to what? Apart from last season it’s been murder to watch for years. This season the main problem is the same as we’ve had for years …..Dunfermline nil is back. Yet again we’re sitting here hoping Kane is fit again. We appear to have fallen into the trap of signing players like Morrison, shaw and Corbally etc without thinking about whether they actually fit into how we want to play. Good example is last year we signed Kearney and this year another teams player is keeping him out the team how is that developing our own youngsters? | 27. Author: red-star-par Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 19:19 To me, he doesn`t look like a professional football player at this level. I`m very surprised Lennon is starting him every week. Is he being told to? Is there something we should be worried about when such an inept player is seemingly first pick up front? The team we signed him from, SK Dynamo České Budějovice, are owned by a Nigerian "businesswoman" who was supposedly representing an international investment consortium, but it doesn`t seem clear who is behind that, and the club has dropped from the first division to the third tier since she took over. | 28. Author: Berkey Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 19:28 Interesting red star….although Lennon played wanyama so has previous for putting players on the pitch who shouldn’t be there. What would be the point in playing him? He ain’t going to be scouted and sold for a profit…. The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity! Reply |

| 30. Author: GJS93 Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 19:32 its the change of system and not having the options for it, him and a not fit yet Thomas are the only ones suitable for it. thats what happens when you decide to rip up everything after 7 games in to the season when signings have been made for plan A and even then some of those are questionable for that. | 32. Author: Sacktheref69 Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 19:45 It doesn`t matter who starts up front, all of our strikers are missing sitters. We brought Shaw on, and his performance shows exactly why he finds himself on the bench. We need to start converting chances, even Stevie Wonder could tell you that. But it`s another decent performance with some really good chances created. Raith and Stenny drawing helps us slightly, too. No need to panic just yet. Just because the strikers have missed a few chances doesn`t mean they`re garbage. If there was a 15–20 goals a season striker available, he wouldn`t be playing for Dunfermline. SCH will be a massive loss. Hopefully, it`s not as bad as it looked when he hobbled off. This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it. Reply |

Some have worked out extremely well, some have been good, some been average, some been poor, some been a waste of time/money. Thats pretty standard for a club our size. Whats more worrying is that Lennon cant get a tune out of them up top. Defensively we seem very good. Reply |

| 36. Author: wee eck Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 20:22 It`s amazing Tod can`t cut it at Championship level but two different managers have considered him good enough for the Scotland under-21 squad, playing with guys attached to clubs who mostly play at a higher level than him. Today he had the handicap of playing virtually the full game with a yellow card against his name knowing that an inconsistent ref could send him off for the slightest indiscretion. But I do think he`s less effective playing as a wide player than as a support to the main striker through the middle. Reply |
| 37. Author: KirklistonPar Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 20:27 Is there something wrong with the training that the strikers are getting during the week? For them all to be misfiring is concerning. Or is it just the fact that striker A is missing chances which puts more pressure on striker B then more pressure striker C? This cascades through the whole team and then everyone who get s into a position to shoot feels massively under pressure and either snatches their chance or chooses to pass to a team mate rather than be the one who missed the chance. Honestly I feel sorry for our strikers they must feel terrible missing the chances we’ve had in some of our games. Maybe we just need to ride this hard part of the season out and we will get a breakthrough soon. I’m sure other teams in league will have periods where they are struggling for results. We’re hanging on in there just now just waiting on the goals to come. I’m so proud of the players for not giving up still giving it a massive amount of effort. Least our defence has been solid along with our midfield we are at least creating chances for our strikers. It’s never been easy being a Pars fan….but I wouldn’t change it for the world. COYP!! | 39. Author: Berkey Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 20:43 Interesting Wee eck you think the Scotland under 21’s would stroll this league? Tod would be more suited playing under 21’s as it’s not as physical. Tod has shown he can cut it in this league but not on a consistent basis, when he’s off he’s waaay off it. As we’ve debated before, it’s not Tod’s fault he’s playing every week when his performances would make you question the logic espech last season when he was clearly jaded, this decision and the other strikers we’ve signed are on Lennon. Those playing in forward positions for us are not being picked based on form. The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity! Reply |
| 40. Author: Paralex Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 20:53 Adams has exceptional stamina. His closing down is great. On occasions he can trick his way past defenders. He laid on a great ball to Tod, who should have scored but hit the post. Apart from that his touch is highly erratic, he will never outpace a defender and he seems to possess a seriously deep phobia of putting the ball in the net. Apart from that he runs his heart out but if that`s all he has to offer, it doesn`t hit the mark in this league. Reply |
