121. Author: Berkey Date: Sat 7th Nov 2026. 07:06 Decent performance tonight against a streetwise Raith side, noticed Raith has really narrowed the pitch and we just lacked that quality and movement to break them down when it counted. Adam’s is giving me PTSD from when lennon was playing wanyama, neither should have been near our first 11 and its makes you question lennons thinking when there’s others on the bench who can actually play football. It’s not surprising we struggle to break teams down with a front 3 that includes Tod and adams, Tod was better tonight but they just don’t retain possession enough and vast majority of what they try doesn’t come off so inevitably the move falls apart. It should be one or the other. Shaw did okay but we are lacking intelligent movement to find the space up there. I fancy Lennon might dip into the market again in Jan for a decent forward to play on the right, Morrison isn’t the answer and it would make a huge difference. Author: ipswichpar Date: Sat 7th Nov 2026. 07:25 Can`t help but think there`s something wrong with the laws of the game if you can run behind someone, make no attempt to go for the ball, have no chance of winning the ball even if you went for it, and grab someone around the neck and then only end up with a booking. You would get lifted for common assault if you did it a few metres away on the street. Reply

124. Author: MinnesotaAndy Date: Sat 7th Nov 2026. 08:21 A poor game. Another poor referee. Pars got their mojo in the final minutes but it was not enough. I was surprised by how often Rovers lumped high balls toward our box. They only played footie on the counter attack. Reply

126. Author: king lad Date: Sat 7th Nov 2026. 08:21 They`re a very dirty team, especially the likes of Baird and Oakley. It`s what you`ve come to expect from an Imrie managed team, absolutely no intention to have any sort of exciting football, just stay solid at the back and hoof it forward up to a target man and look for knock downs. You`re relying on referees to clamp down on teams like that but Scottish officiating has no intention of being sensible and contribute to an entertaining product on the park. At the same time, it`s frustrating that we reverted back to passing around the back continually and not being able to progress the ball often enough. Things improved when Lennon changed the system, bringing Tod, Thomas and Gilmour on but it was a little too late. I really hope Thomas hasn`t seriously injured his arm, his physicality is a problem for defenders and you could see that towards the end where Hanlon and Baird were bricking it whenever he was around them. They seemed to get caught out by the way the ball bounces and moves differently compared to grass. Training on our astro training pitch is one thing, but playing a competitive game on their surface is completely different. Both teams struggled to keep their footing on it. This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it. Reply

129. Author: Mexicopar Date: Sat 7th Nov 2026. 09:05 MinnesotaAndy, Sat 7 Nov 08:21 The way we have dominated games recently and how teams have sat in against us I thought RR tactics would be no different. The relied on a big target man, breakaways, and winning second balls. I thought they were better than us winning second balls in midfield and forward areas but their finishing was poor. As others have said when we went to a back three and wingbacks, we were better. I see McLeod developing into the wingback position due to his athleticism and strength, rather than just playing in forward positions. RR I thought never really opened the game up, and relied on persistent fouling to break down our play. We were unable to stamp any authority on the game but perhaps that`s down to the average age of the squad. I haven`t seen a team better than us this season so this is just one of those games you have to take on the chin in my view. All part of the development. The refereeing was pretty poor. Even my wife said that! Reply

136. Author: thebear Date: Sat 7th Nov 2026. 10:36 Poor game but typical derby. I am amazed at how much thuggery raith use and it was made worse by a ref that clearly was biased. Pars did things and got booked, raith did it and nothing, not even a warning., surely refs are subject to some form of review. Anyway we did not lose and are definitely in the fight Reply
137. Author: Bamba-Daft Date: Sat 7th Nov 2026. 10:42 There will be an assessor watching him last night but nothing will happen, he’ll end up getting a premiership game next week. Some of the calls were genuinely baffling. Twice he stopped the game while we had the ball, and twice he walked 20 yards from where the play stopped and just gave the ball to them? The Fraser card is an atrocious decision, as was the penalty claim, genuinely think he was just too scared to give a penalty at that time of the match. Baird climbing all over Thomas at the corner flag, jumping on his back, wrestling him to the floor then continuing to wrestle him while lying on top of him.. never even spoke to him. Inept. Reply
138. Author: GG Riva Date: Sat 7th Nov 2026. 10:43 Not a game that will live long in the memory, and a refereeing performance that was even poorer. I find it incredible that this guy is actually considered good enough to referee in the Premiership, if last night was a typical performance. I`d have taken a draw before the game. The Rovers are a horrible team to play against, but we didn`t do enough to win it, although the penalty not given still rankles. ![]() Not your average Sunday League player. Reply
139. Author: tentonhammers Date: Sat 7th Nov 2026. 11:00 Bit of a mental period of fixtures coming up after the international break which means we`ll need to utilise the squad. Worry is that starters like Adams are not up to it but then replacements are inconsistent too. Can`t rely on it "clicking" by pure chance when there`s games every few days. Reply
