22. Author: NMCmassive Date: Wed 20th Nov 2024. 22:19 Worth noting OP was correct about 440parts per million (ppm) of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Plant life starts to die off at 350ppm. Complete die off at 150ppm. When the last ice age peaked 20,000 years ago carbon dioxide dropped to around 180ppm nearly sparking off another mass extinction. Itās hard to find an answer to how much is too much. Some articles will correlate between high carbon dioxide levels and previous mass extinction events - jurrasic-Triassic for example but I looked into the causes of a couple of them and the belief is that they were caused by super volcanoes. Carbon dioxide was at 6000-8000 ppm and there was no runaway greenhouse effect. We just ended up with lots of trees. More Iāve tried looking into it, the less worried I am about carbon dioxide. I honestly believe itās just a grift. Plastics, petrochemicals, heavy metals IMO are much more of a concern. I wonder if itās a bait and switch tbh š¤ Wonder if Gretaās family has shares in DuPont or something š COYP Reply |

30. Author: P Date: Fri 22nd Nov 2024. 19:37 āNew electric buses charged by pantographs have been rolled out on one of Londonās longest bus routes. The fleet of 20 buses are being recharged at each end of the 15-mile route 358 between Crystal Palace and Orpington in the south-east of the capital. The pantographs are arm-like structures which attach to a bus roof and provide high-powered charging in as little as six minutes. That means the vehicles do not need to return to garages to recharge, reducing the fleet size required to serve the route. The buses have a striking design with similar characteristics to a tram. Transport for London (TfL) said they also have a āsaferā front and features such as speed limits, audible warnings to alert pedestrians and other road users to the movements of the bus, and cameras and monitors instead of mirrors for the driver. Spanish company Irizar has supplied 20 of the buses and the two pantograph chargers. Pantograph technology was first introduced to Londonās bus network in 2022 with testing at Bexleyheath garage. More than 1,700 zero-emission buses are now in service in London.ā Reply |

City Center parking reduced dramatically, prices increased for the parking that is available. ParkānāRide facilities outside the city, West, South and East New tram routes being added all the time. Busses are regular and clean, there is even āa night busā on Friday & Saturday nights to my village leaving at 00.30, 01.30 & 03.00 - no excuse to drink & drive, no need to drive at all. Reply |
34. Author: jake89 Date: Mon 25th Nov 2024. 12:59 That`s how it should be. Unfortunately, we`re stuck with buses that take over an hour to travel to Edinburgh or trains that get cancelled, arrive with missing carriages or late. Reply |
35. Author: DBP Date: Mon 25th Nov 2024. 13:14 Yeah I only go in the office it takes almost 2hours and I live about 18 miles off I were to drive. Itās about 20 mins walk to bus, 5 mins wait, about 1hr 20mins on the bus, and another 10 min walk from Edinburgh bus station I could take the train and shave about 30 mins, but its more than double the price which for the distance, crammed conditions etc Iām not paying Reply |
36. Author: veteraneastender Date: Mon 25th Nov 2024. 18:41 "Absolutely free." So, where does the Luxembourg government get the money to run these "free" services ? That`s my point - nothing is free in this world. Reply |
