He’s had a nightmare start. The field is closing up as well at the top of the leaderboard

4 shot lead has evaporated after only 5 holes. It’s a nightmare start.

One behind now. He’s not playing well. Can only see a Scottie win, sadly.

Yes, it does look like he`s bottled it. But if he can string a few birdie holes together like he did in the second round, who knows.

I think the occasion has got to him right from the first tee off.
He’s barely hit a fairway all day and his mentality isn’t there.
He’ll probably not even be second now.

Feel Sorry for the Laddie
I never saw it but my Daughter told me he was getting heckled at most holes from our nice Yankee Cousins

That was a heart breaking watch last night. To start 4 shots ahead only for it to be all square after a few holes. He just didn`t get going and the thing is, Scottie was beatable. Scottie missed 3 or 4 really short putts but that chip in for birdie at 17 really burned Bob`s stovies.

Bob will win something big. That`s 2 majors he`s narrowly missed out on and the fed ex is also a huge tournament.

Hang in there Bob.

He was getting a bit of stick from some arrogant yanks. Save that for the Ryder Cup ffs.

Yes, keep going Bob. Going head to head with the world`s no.1 is no mean feat. That puts him right up there in the top bracket. They do have their fair share of mentally challenged American zealots who chant USA, USA and shout "get in the hole," even when their golfer is teeing off at a par 5. Bob`s bringing real interest back to Scottish golf. I don`t think he`s been such a clear front runner in a big tournament before so that`s good experience too.

The most frustrating thing in sport is to lose because you’ve not played the way you can.
Bob was nowhere near the levels of the first three days. Scottie was good, but didn’t need to be super to beat him. That’s what will be eating away at him.
There’s always next week.

It was frustrating because Scottie was there for the beating. Watching the opening 6 or 7 holes, he was not much better than our man missing short putts etc.
Bob just got off to a really bad start with his drives and let his frustration be known too early for the audience.
Jack Nicklaus always said to just put the last hole behind you and clear the deck for the next one.
I think on this occasion it kept playing on his head instead.

I normally like to see Scottish players do well, but I just can`t take to Robert MacIntyre at all. I`ve only seen him being interviewed 3 times, maybe just caught him being interviewed at a bad time but in each interview he has talked about how he gets so angry he wants to smash up his golf clubs etc. sounds like a right petulant wee daft laddie

Hopefully doesn`t become a thing like Monrgomerie where he gets it tight pretty much constantly when playing in the USA.

Scheffler is just a machine. Thats not the first time he`s hunted down a fairly signficant lead on the final day to win.

True but Scheffler really didn’t do anything significant in the opening 9 holes.
He didn’t need to.
