| 4. Author: jake89 Date: Wed 5th Nov 2025. 22:24 Link to the story. I`m astonished it`s taken this long for action. They were raiding loads last week. You only have to look around any town centre nowadays to see all the obvious scam places - "Turkish" barbers, American Candy shops, Dessert shops, vape shops, nail bars. Not all of them obviously but there`s no way they can all be doing legit business given how many there are. At least 3 Turkish barbers on Cowdenbeath High Street and must be at least half a dozen in Dunfermline town centre including two that are right opposite each other! How often are guys getting their hair cut?! I saw a video last year of Americans in Dunfermline. They loved it but even they were wondering why there were so many salons and barbers in such a small area! Post Edited (Wed 05 Nov 22:24) Reply |

I use them, but wouldn’t go on a Sat as always pretty busy. Maybe bit dodgey with cash only, but may be to avoid card charges. The one up next to Bodrum always seems empty and is lit up like an Xmas tree all day. Reply |

I used the Subway one but like you say it gets busy so I thought I`d try the other one and seen the same faces working in both. Post Edited (Fri 07 Nov 11:09) Reply |

To me it’s pretty obvious the ones on the boat are on a boat because they couldn’t get in the legal route - which is pretty unbelievable considering how easy it is to get into the uk via legitimate immigration systems. Around 1million arrived last year. The government need them, it’s a simplistic way to boost GDP in the short term - which I think will directly impact the UK’s borrowing powers. COYP Reply |

Author: red-star-par Date: Sat 8th Nov 2025. 13:32 Very true, there is no appetite from the UK Government, Police, or immigration authorities to investigate what is going on with the boom in barbershops. The UK Government know that these shops are washing the proceeds of crime, and they are happy to get their cut laundered through these businesses Reply |

I`m just wondering exactly how someone does claim asylum in the UK legally? And although my eyes were open They just might as well be closed Reply |
