We should do nothing about an ongoing problem of systemic rap and abuse because someone associated with Tommy Robinson was found guilty of violence towards a woman. Why is your focus of anger directed towards Tommy Robinson? Why should that be a bigger concern than a grooming rap gang? COYP Reply

That we shouldn’t be doing anything about domestic abuse or grooming gangs because someone who worked at the same company as Tommy Robinson lost the head at an ex girlfriend and plead guilty afternoon throwing a chopping board at her? Like I’m not downplaying the incident, he’s been way out of line but what’s that got to do with a rape gang and why should have that any impact on trying to deal with rape gangs? COYP Reply

Yaxley-Lennon only calls out Muslims. Yaxley-Lennon is pals with a convicted domestic abuser. So, what Yaxley-Lennon is saying is Muslims shouldn`t abuse women, which is correct, but white guys can fire on. Sadly, tonight a lot of women will be getting a beating because Rangers lost in the 93rd minute. The majority of those committing these violent acts will be white men. Reply

Author: ipswichpar Date: Mon 10th Aug 2026. 09:47 buffy, Sat 8 Aug 18:08 There’s been such a high uptake on domestic abuse cases in Scotland that criminal defence and prosecution solicitors can’t cope. Legal aid board fees for cases has stagnated since 1999 and the boycott by some legal defence firms and services means people aren’t getting justice and help when they so desperately need it. No amount of tv advertising / police messages are getting through to the public. I’ve no idea what the solution is, and it’s sad reading. You would think that the government would be looking to create more lawyers and have a look at some of the charging mechanisms..... it seems like there`s a standard rate for lawyers at most firms, which almost feels like some cartel behaviour that they are quite so consistent...... And the nonsense of charging 6 minutes worth of work for receiving an email is dodgy as well. It would be interesting to see how many hours a week your typical lawyer is charging vs how much they work. I`m not sure there is a way to fix this buffy. I think of it as a 4 box true/false matrix. While (true is happened vs false it has been reported) would, I suspect, be the biggest number in that matrix there will also be a fair number of (false it happened vs true it has been reported) and understanding each of those to meet a criminal standard for conviction is just going to take way more time than the system can support. Folk learning how to communicate without skelping each other would probably be a good first step. Reply

The big problem nowadays is we`ve gotten really good at reporting and investigating crimes that there aren`t enough prisons spaces, courts, police or support staff. It`s why people are only serving half a jail term in most cases. It might be more of a threat if rapists were told their punishment was castration. Reply

More to that story than meets the eye. Wasn`t his student. He was known to her. Scratched her head because she looked tired and touched her leg twice. He shouldn`t have done this, and has been convicted, but it`s not quite the sickening levels of abuse seen in other cases Reply
