Also mutterings of the fact that Xi has made it very clear to Putin that the use of even a tactical nuke is unacceptable. Under Biden, the Russians were also told very clearly that use of a tactical nuke would result in the American-led conventional destruction of every Russian military asset on the ground in Ukraine. Moreover, to destroy the "collective West" as the Z nutters are talking about would require a massive strike, whereas, you could effectively destroy Russia as a state with two tactical strikes, one in Moscow and the other on St Petersburg. Putin knows this and that, coupled with the idea of stirring up fear, is why he along with Lavrov and others constantly indulge in sabre-rattling! Still funny to see Bletchly parroting the "civil war" line from the MAGA and Z loons...Kyiv was already a thriving city by the 5th century, a whole 700 years before Moscow in the 12th! 😂 Reply |

Our human race has certainly shown itself crazy enough to wipe itself from the face of the earth. Makes me think of the book of Revelation and wonder if there is any hope for mankind. Rev.chapter 21 says:- "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, " Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people and God himself will be with them and will be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." I suppose from my earliest days, when the Cuban missile crisis was causing widescale panic, there has always been the threat of nuclear disaster. Will the Great Creator of the universe allow that to happen or will he take action himself to bring down the curtain of human life on earth? Reply |

Author: Bletchley_Par Date: Wed 28th Oct 2026. 14:33 Topic Originator: hurricane_jimmy I was not making any political point with my use of the term, Ukraine was was part of the same union until very recently, they are Ukrainians and Russians are ethnically the same their countries are social constructs and all I want is the killing to stop and nuclear holocaust to be averted. It`s never been funny calling someone names just because they use different terminology when discussing the potential end of our civilisation. Which of their respective cities won the "we were here first" competition will not offer comfort to the millions of dead should the missiles start flying and your intolerance for your perceived opinion of me will not matter to the unfortunate survivors. If 90% of wargames end in a favourable outcome for one side but 10% ends in the destruction of your country then your going to pull your finger away from the button. If you were, you`d reply with something about the Carpathians, Cossacks, Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth but it`s quite obvious that you would likely peddle the same DNA argument that is peddled by Russian State media. I suppose though your easiest "out" is to play the victim and claim personal attack, which you`ve done many a time, but why are you so scared of facts? Reply |
