The reason for the "deficit" is Holyrood not introducing the cuts experienced in England. I can never work out why people in England aren`t up in arms. In Scotland the spend per head relates to need so areas like Edinburgh get less, Dunfermline gets pretty much average and Glasgow and islands get much more. In England it seems the other way round. London gets far more than places like Newcastle. It`s ridiculous. Reply |
