Ah, but a man`s reach should exceed his grasp, Or what`s a heaven for?

I think it was Robert Browning in his poem “Andrea del Sarto”

The iambic pentameter employed is thought to mimic the rhythm of the human heartbeat.

This is the problem with this forum – you can’t have a decent argument about autocracy, sociopathy and world politics without it rapidly degenerating into a discussion on 19th century poetry…

Yes it`s Browning, who incidentally has links to Dundee.

I`m interested in how the US will handle immigration. The UK has taken in refugees but also has an identified problem with people arriving here without any documentation and claiming refuge. There is clearly an issue with identifying who is legitimately seeking refuge and who is at it. I`ve heard talk of coming out of the ECHR but that would likely cause more problems than it solves.

How does Trump plan to tackle immigration concerns and how might the UK work to improve its processing of refuge claims?

"Man made climate change will lead to more severe weather episodes resulting in failed harvests, more wars for resources, economic shortages and huge waves of migration."

"I can`t believe you`ve been taken in by this climate change nonsense. Do some research, it`s a scam....

....wait, where are all these damn immigrants coming from?"

I blame the schools.

If we`re going to talk climate change are we allowed to bring climate manipulation into the debate?
The UK alone has 18 different sites that do weather manipulation research and experimentation, you`re not telling me that doesn`t have an effect?

I don`t wanna go down like disco.

I`d like to see evidence that climate manipulation experimentation is having a lasting impact on the climate because the science seems to suggest that whilst this is theoretically possible, the scale at which it is currently being done is nowhere near that level.

I had to look it up because I`d never heard of it and discovered that it was a nonsense social media conspiracy theory about two or three years ago.

Is there new evidence to suggest otherwise?

I`ve never heard of these sites before and would like to learn more about them. I`ll have to look into it. However why would people believe that these sites can manipulate the climate but burning 80 million barrels of oil everyday for at least seventy years as well as burning coal in the many billions of tonnes range isn`t affecting the climate?

And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

Absolute uninformed morons really. The energy output required to even fudge the weather on a large scale would require an insane output. You`re talking multiple nuclear power stations dedicated to doing this.

I wasn`t aware of Browning`s Dundee connection, Bletchley. On his mother`s side.

Meanwhile, I found the link

The first 30 minutes or so is football, the last few seconds is the quote, although it was Archie MacPherson, not Dougie.

They seem to be going well, C16 military planes have been taking the illegal aliens home to their own country.

Colombia`s socialist government refuse to let 2 planes land, so Trump imposed 25% tariffs on all Columbian imports, raising to 50% in 1 week, and restrictions of Columbian officials and enhanced customs checks.

In less than an hour Colombian president Petro folded and agreed to let the planes land and indeed even offered the presidential plane to repatriate the illegals.

Things are looking good already for Trump`s re-election in 2028.

Trump can`t be re-elected. All he could do is refuse to step down. 22nd amendment states can`t be elected president more than twice but doesn`t say you can`t continue unelected.

Of course, if he did that he`d definitely end up shot. He`s also going to be in his 80s by that time. Maybe they`ll keep it in the family and one of his kids will run for it like the Bush`s did?

Well Trump the superb negotiator has a great solution to the Israel-Palestine war. Get all the Palestinians...and chuck them into Egypt. Problem solved. I can`t believe no one thought of this already. Clear the people off their land and let some rich people have it.
