123. Author: JTH123 Date: Sat 9th Mar 2024. 18:46 Didn`t think the free kick that lead to the first was a foul. I had a good view of it and Hamilton clearly got the ball. That said, the combination of having no focal point to hit crosses at and not moving the ball quickly enough and letting them get bodies around the box made it a hard watch. I`m not having Mehmet criticised for the first goal as was suggested earlier. He made a very good stop and their man was ready for it better than those around him. Reply |
124. Author: weemike Date: Sat 9th Mar 2024. 18:48 I thought we played well, really well up until the 2nd goal. Putting the ball into the net has been a bit of an issue for us for 2 seasons. Its not a personnel issue as these guys are professional footballers who can all shoot, pass tackle etc. I feel mcpake likes to pack the midfield either 3-5-1-1 or recently 4-5-1 but it leaves the man up top with too much to do and not enough support. They are not bad footballers by any stretch of the imagination even with the injuries and I feel someone else at the helm could`ve got better results out of that team. Reply |
125. Author: gordi-b Date: Sat 9th Mar 2024. 18:49 We could have played all day and still would never have scored, our ability in front of goal is appaling and has been all season , Mcpakes decision making is frightening at times replacing Otoo with the hapless Mcann and then bringing on Holmes who is arguably worse than Mcann just finished the game for us . 127. Author: cfad Date: Sat 9th Mar 2024. 19:09 craigypar35, Sat 9 Mar 18:25 We can’t even contemplate going back to L1. With a loss of £1m last year, and likely to be near to that again this season, the consequences of that are unthinkable. Reply |

129. Author: Parster Date: Sat 9th Mar 2024. 19:14 The manager is critical of the players for not scoring goals this isn`t a new problem it was the same last season and if we don`t get our finger out we will be back down with a good few of the players that got us relegated last time Reply |

133. Author: saltonsgonagetu Date: Sat 9th Mar 2024. 19:38 He’s hurting in there. Of course he is. He wanted to come back to this club where he played for so long – he had a great time here – and win for us. He’s in there, he’s annoyed, he’s frustrated, but I was pleased with his performance, not too many more.” Mcpake giving Bene pass marks , not too many more . ![]() Reply |
134. Author: wee eck Date: Sat 9th Mar 2024. 19:47 McPake openly criticised Mehmet for the first goal. I thought that was a bit harsh as that ball was shifting and he didn`t have much time to react to it but the fact that he named him maybe shows the pressure he is feeling. Reply |

138. Author: Parfect69 Date: Sat 9th Mar 2024. 19:59 I am a fan of Mcpakes, however that was unacceptable. I do think from an educated guess he is working with one hand behind his back and he is as frustrated as we are. Reply |
139. Author: TommyR Date: Sat 9th Mar 2024. 20:01 I think realistically and the facts speak for themselves. It`s all down to the striking. Jakubiak, McCann and Homles can`t shoot for anything. Kane plays and we`re winning?. It`s no secret we just don`t score, everything else is in place. The difference one good striker can make to us is palpable. They can influence the game in so many ways that even if they themselves don`t score, it allows others to shine. Reply |
