26. Author: desparado Date: Tue 24th Sep 2024. 20:07 Great result Other than Breen, who was in defence. All attackers the rest of them aren`t they? Five outfield players I would not describe as attackers….. What an opportunity we missed in 2014. Reply |
27. Author: weemike Date: Tue 24th Sep 2024. 20:09 Lol, I wouldn`t have called for his head after one season. I just can`t hate a team for the sake of it. I can also commend a job well done when I see it. Regardless of who it is. I was the same with Iain Murray last season. With what McGlynn is achieving, I`m actually quite envious. It is the trajectory I hoped for Mcpake. Reply |

30. Author: Berkey Date: Tue 24th Sep 2024. 20:58 The season we won the league they still had load of under contract players who were effectively expensive dead wood and mcglynn had to use what he had. Once they were all out of contract and all punted their fortunes dramatically improved. M Glynn knows how to set a team up, I’ll give him that The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity! Reply |
31. Author: TAFKA_Super_Petrie Date: Tue 24th Sep 2024. 21:32 Not so sure on that Berkey. Majority seem to still be there. Granted their goalie that season was pretty suspect from memory but their two most impressive players from games i saw were ones who moved on in Burrell and the Ukranian loanee who went back to St Johnstone (i won`t even attempt at spelling it....). McIver does looks a huge upgrade on Garry Oliver up front. I don`t think Benedictus won a header against him all game in the 0-2 match a few weeks back. --------------------------------------------------------------- [b]"People always talk about Ronaldinho and magic, but I didn't see him today. 32. Author: da_no_1 Date: Tue 24th Sep 2024. 21:51 Every time they signed a player that summer there was uproar on here. Coll Donaldson. Kai Kennedy. Gary Oliver. Stephen McGinn. Jordan Allan. Max Kuchieravi etc They were fully expected to romp League One according to some on here, with the squad they`d assembled. Let`s not rewrite history. McPake utterly owned McGlynn that season. 37. Author: kelty_par Date: Wed 25th Sep 2024. 07:24 I think McIvor got injured in the Celtic game so we`ll see how that affects them as he is a huge part of their success. The annoying thing is that they qualified for the knock out rounds of the League Cup while we were stinking the joint out so the money they`ll have made from gates, TV and prize money will be enough to get some good loanees in just now and a fee reinforcements in January. It`s a well known fact how much a good cup run can help a club outside the top league. The BOD stated how important a good cup run was for us and we bottled it. c'mon the pars Reply |
