Author: da_no_1 Date: Wed 25th Sep 2024. 09:13 Berkey, Tue 24 Sept 20:58 We were relegated with Mehmet McCann Wighton Todorov O`Hara, all your favourites all under contract but went again and won the league at an absolute canter so can`t use that as an excuse for McGlynns failure that season either. 43. Author: wee eck Date: Wed 25th Sep 2024. 09:24 McGlynn was viewed as a figure of fun on here when we were in League 1. Now he`s being hailed as some sort of footballing genius. Good luck to the guy. Success in football at the level we occupy tends to be fairly transient as his career record demonstrates. Reply |
44. Author: da_no_1 Date: Wed 25th Sep 2024. 09:27 There`s no doubt Falkirk are flying just now however I`d rather have McPake relegate us than that odious rape apologist in charge of us for 5 minutes. "Some days will stay a 1000 years, some pass like the flash of a spark" Reply |

This season we had a favourable group and could only beat Spartans. We also lost 2 games against lower league teams at home. c'mon the pars Reply |
46. Author: da_no_1 Date: Wed 25th Sep 2024. 09:53 Well the thread is about the Reserve League cup tie between Dunfermline and Falkirk. We won 3-0. Well done boys. I'll leave you to bash one out to Falkirks fabulous form. "Some days will stay a 1000 years, some pass like the flash of a spark" Post Edited (Wed 25 Sep 09:54) Reply |

48. Author: Indiapar Date: Wed 25th Sep 2024. 10:05 I think we did score some late winners in league 1. This is something that Raith also achieved last season. A Raith supporter told me they didn`t play particularly well but were managing to score. I think that sums up the fine line between the sides. The teams are all of a similar level in this league it`s about being clinical in front of goal and taking your chances. In terms of Falkirk, I think others have said, and what the Reserve team result probably indicates is that they don`t have the depth tgat we have. Whether they will need that as the season progresses remains to be seen. All we can do is focus on ourselves. Reply |

I mean they got to the Scottish Cup final the year before last, but yeah let`s just erase that... Anyway, good result for us in the Reserve game. It was a strong team albeit one playing in a strange system with both Tods at the back and Copper at left wing back. Don`t know why they are sticking with 3 at the back when the first team are now playing with a 4 and we had to play midfielders at centre back in this game. Also think that the game could have easily been played at Rosyth for all the crowd that was there, going by the pictures I`ve seen. The under 18s played there the other night and it was fine enough. 52. Author: wee eck Date: Wed 25th Sep 2024. 14:03 As kelty-par says, McPake seems to favour a back four now. Reply |

55. Author: kozmasrightfoot Date: Wed 25th Sep 2024. 16:13 WeeMike, if you can`t hate a team just for the sake of it, maybe you can hate them for the fact that they still sing offensive songs about a Pars legend? 58. Author: Paralex Date: Wed 25th Sep 2024. 17:27 There`s quite a big difference between hatred and a failure to believe that one of our fiercest rivals, whom we humbled two seasons ago, have suddenly found the key to lasting success. Or indeed seeming to revel in the situation. Post Edited (Wed 25 Sep 17:29) Reply |
