21. Author: Berkey Date: Mon 28th Oct 2024. 07:57 It’s no conspiracy theory that he couldn’t do a normal pre season and had to be nursed, as they are doing now. A proper conspiracy theory would be that we thought we wouldn’t get any points anyway on sat so rested him for Tuesday. 22. Author: wee eck Date: Mon 28th Oct 2024. 08:14 Where is the evidence that he`s being `nursed` now? We don`t even know what his injury is and whether it is connected to previous ones. Prior to Saturday he had appeared in 10 games in a row. Given his all-action style I`d say he must be pretty fit to have managed that. Of course if he catches the flu he`ll be back to being `injury prone`. Reply |

Author: sonofpetrie Date: Mon 28th Oct 2024. 09:31 wee eck, Mon 28 Oct 08:14 Unfortunately (and for the record I quite like kane as a player) he has been given the autonomy to decide when he himself is fit. There is a reason he never returned to St Johnstone even as a squad player. We as a club are now in a position where we have to accept players like this because of poor management. 25. Author: wee eck Date: Mon 28th Oct 2024. 09:53 Well, time will tell whether, over the extent of the season, he is more or less available to play than other players. We`ve heard about players like Bene who sometimes played when he shouldn`t have and may have suffered as a result, so maybe an element of self-diagnosis isn`t a bad thing. Reply |
26. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Mon 28th Oct 2024. 10:31 To be fair, he has played 8 league games so far this season and scored a whopping 1 goal……McCanns scored the same amount and he’s universally chastised on here 🤷🏻♂️ Reply |
27. Author: DA-go Par Adonis Date: Mon 28th Oct 2024. 11:10 If Kane didn`t arrive when he did last season, we`d be in League 1. He`s not prolific but is our only option when we play a lone striker - and would benefit from someone playing off him. We also don`t tend to do very well at all when he`s not playing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet, He's gonna pay for everyone this season. 29. Author: NMCmassive Date: Mon 28th Oct 2024. 13:11 Buster_Brown, Mon 28 Oct 12:47 I don’t think he necessarily needs or wants someone along side him although I do think we need someone who will run beyond him and in behind the defence. Kane will hold the ball up or come short and look to link play up. Dapo looks quick and Matty Todd when played centrally offers that kind of threat so perhaps them 2 in the team with him will help 🤷🏻♂️ COYP Reply |
30. Author: wee eck Date: Mon 28th Oct 2024. 13:19 Not much has been said about Dapo Mebude`s contribution on Saturday. That`s the longest time he`s been on the pitch in a senior game for us and he looks like a real threat. He has that knack of controlling the ball and moving it on in the same movement and, as said, is genuinely quick. The main problem with him may be getting his team-mates on the same wavelength! 31. Author: DA-go Par Adonis Date: Mon 28th Oct 2024. 13:26 NMCmassive, Mon 28 Oct 13:11 I don`t disagree. Perhaps badly worded as I`m not someone who thinks that 2 strikers automatically means we`ll be more of a threat. I more meant that he needs to be less isolated - whether that`s playing upfront with Sutherland or with Madube or Todd bombing forward from a deeper starting position. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet, He's gonna pay for everyone this season. Good to see him get the goals and hopefully its just the start of them on a regular basis Reply |
39. Author: pacifist Date: Tue 29th Oct 2024. 23:23 Still a place for Wighton. Disapointing to hear some boos when he came on when we were winning 3-0. In fact, more that disappointing - outrageous. Reply |
