1. Author: coventrypar Date: Sat 15th Feb 2025. 19:51 That was the difference today. Previously we have been out muscled - today our midfield ( with the two strikers getting stuck in ) beasted it. Wotherspoon and Otoo. Units Defence -solid and stuck to the brief. Midfield rock solid. Strikers - will gell together. Unlucky today. 4. Author: Ahoy!Ahoy! Date: Sat 15th Feb 2025. 21:24 Mullen and Stevens (second half) were stand outs today. McCann I hate it say looks absolutely clueless on the left, never got close to the right back at all in the first half, he was coming to far in and leaving him too much space. Change of shape midway through the first half seemed to suit us and I felt we were the better team, especially in the second half. Very good performance today and hopefully holds us in good stead heading into the next 3 crucial matches against QP, Hamilton and Morton. Reply |

6. Author: coventrypar Date: Sat 15th Feb 2025. 23:02 Alter … I think he will play McCann if we need weight and stature. I suspect against less physical teams than livi there might be somebody else on the left or we just go right and middle. "If you have no kind words to say you should say nothing more at all" Reply |
7. Author: Alter Ego Date: Sat 15th Feb 2025. 23:13 I see where you’re coming from but Tidser wants to play from the back and needs quick passing midfielders who move the ball. McCann just doesn’t have the football brains to move the ball and pass(Aberdeen game). Mon the Pars! Reply |
8. Author: davepars Date: Sat 15th Feb 2025. 23:19 McCann has had a fair crack of the whip under at least 3 managers now. I just don`t think he has it, and I absolutley hate to say that. Reply |
9. Author: Raymie the Legend Date: Sun 16th Feb 2025. 00:31 I’d be surprised if Lewis started the next game. I think others will be given a chance to impress. ![]() It`s bloody tough being a legend Ron Atkinson - 1983 Reply |
10. Author: Berkey Date: Sun 16th Feb 2025. 08:21 He’s on borrowed time as the new boys settle and get their fitness up. Feels like last chance saloon for him to start producing something on even a semi consistent basis, the new owners are going to bring in better attack minded players and we’ll likely have a better squad for next season. Can’t see him improving much as some of the basics not there, surely the new owners will be running stats on our current team’s effectiveness too. It will be interesting to see where he ends up and how he gets on though assuming he moves on. Post Edited (Sun 16 Feb 08:21) Reply |

13. Author: PARrot Date: Sun 16th Feb 2025. 10:29 wee eck, Sun 16 Feb 10:08 Nothing curious about it. Lewis has been here since he could kick a ball and folk care about him. He hasn`t managed to produce the hoped-for results, which may, or may not be his fault. So many managers are disrupting potential. It has reached the point where there is a split of opinion whether he should stay and keep trying with more stable management, or move on to a fresh challenge for his own benefit. ![]() Reply |
14. Author: wee eck Date: Sun 16th Feb 2025. 10:37 It`s curious to me that just about every thread about the team involves him when they weren`t initially about him. Reply |
15. Author: neilholland999 Date: Sun 16th Feb 2025. 11:07 Well, if the thread is about the team, McCann (and others) will rightly be commented upon, given he is a regular starter in said team... Post Edited (Sun 16 Feb 11:07) Reply |
16. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Sun 16th Feb 2025. 11:28 Imagine football fans discussing a players (who starts every single week) ability and productivity for the team…… McCann is one of these 1 in 10 guys, who plays well once that then keeps him in the team for 10 games. Id be shocked if he gets dropped, unless they put MOH/KRH on the left instead, as theres no viable out and out left winger. Reply |
17. Author: wee eck Date: Sun 16th Feb 2025. 11:49 From what I`ve seen Archie Stevens could play on the left if the manager was considering an option there. It seems to be the case though that `football people` value McCann`s contribution more than the average fan does. Reply |

19. Author: wee eck Date: Sun 16th Feb 2025. 12:31 The two things aren`t necessarily connected. We`ve had off-the-field issues too, the last one being a freezing of the playing budget. Reply |
20. Author: PARrot Date: Sun 16th Feb 2025. 12:45 People post opinions on his ability based on a knowledge of football that they don`t possess. It is realy entertaining sometimes trying to take in how inflated so many egos are on here. No training, no qualifications, no experience. Just a wealth of wisdom based on unqualified opinion. I often wonder how many of the most prolific of these believe they could do better given the chance. I mean in coaching or management. I daren`t ask because I think I could do myself an injury laughing at some of the replies. ![]() Reply |
