We were told by `those in the know` that he`d be gone with the Germans. Then we were told he`d be gone at the end of last season. Where do they get their information from?

I`ve said it many times. None of us actually knows what the CEO`s remit is so we`re in no position to judge him. I know that`s not a popular point of view on here where the majority loves to find someone to blame.

If something went wrong on the pitch, the manager gets the blame. So in this case, when an off field issue like this happens, the blame surely lies with the CEO? Not sure why a club like us needs a commercial manager. Cook said when he arrived he done commercial work for the clubs he worked at?

Reminds me of Blair Morgan tbh.

I know he was(is) a Pars fan but he certainly didn’t know the fan base in 1990
He was hoodwinked by his close pal Iain Munro and persuaded an ageing board of directors to get Jim Leishman out of the dugout.
That much I do know.

I’ve no idea who ultimately makes the decision on the offers that are given to potential signings or what pool of players we’re looking at. The last few seasons has been a real struggle in getting quality through the door. Hopefully we have a big surprise with a few new faces tomorrow. Lennon is certainly the highest calibre manager we’ve had in a long time and to waste that. Would be criminal and negligent.
Ultimately we will find out come the first league game. Let’s just hope that my decision to buy season tickets, mainly due to Lennon signing and the hype does have us enduring the sort of football that’s been on show the last few seasons.
Hey, and you never know maybe you can win it with kids.

The role of a CEO at a club like Dunfermline should be about steadying the ship, growing the brand locally, and making sure the off-field stuff is slick and professional. Instead, we’ve got a guy who seems more interested in soundbites rather than actual delivery.

He said Erreà would be an upgrade, well if this is an upgrade, I’d hate to see a downgrade. Second season in a row we’ve completely butchered the kit launch and stock in the club shop. No stock, no clarity, no respect for the fans’ time or money. You’ve got folk desperate to buy shirts for their kids and yet again the club can’t get the basics right. It`s amateur hour.

And as for “strategic leadership”another key role of a CEO at. Football club. What`s the strategy? Because from where I’m sitting it looks like cross your fingers and hope for the best. Euro fanzone was a decent event, fair enough, but you don’t get to dine out on that forever. Day to day operations are all over the place. Hospitality has been hit and miss, supporters meetings binned as soon as we hit trouble under mcpake.

He’s supposed to be overseeing a professional setup but right now it feels like we`re being run like a pub team. If the CEO can’t even get a kit launch right one of the biggest revenue days of the summer then what is he doing?

We need more than words. We need delivery. Because fans are running out of patience fast.

c'mon the pars

It`s good to know what his role `should be` but we still don`t know what it is.

It seems all he had to do was get a kit launch right. As far as we can see that was linked to rearranging new sponsorship deals which presumably he was heavily involved in.

Meanwhile he was spearheading our recruitment drive. This could mean anything from identifying targets to deciding how much to pay players or their agents and when exactly to abandon one target in favour another.

Oh, and don`t forget to make sure we have a pitch that`s playable for the new season.

And all he was interested in was `sound bites`. Not so long ago he was accused of lacking any communication with the fans so that must be an improvement.

I wonder how many of us would like to be criticised for our performance by people who don`t know what exactly our employers have asked of us?

I googled it and found PT’s job description. It’s fair to assume, ours is not too different?

Can you be both CEO AND Chairman?

under his stewardship there is not 1 thing about the club or matchday experiences that have changed for the better and indeed the changes made have resulted in good people who have dedicated a large amount of time or made substantial inverstments in the club being alienated and leaving the club.

Wee Eck, your comments are always thought provoking and challenging where there is no clarity in a situation and I applaud your candid stance. It is excellent.
However this is an embarrassment for the club. A major launch gone wrong is shocking for any business and costs a lot of money for the business and for the customer satisfaction.
The club will only have the goodwill of its captive market customers for so long. And I think this event is possibly a last chance saloon to turn things around at the commercial level.

Apparently the strip delay is something to do with the size of the sponsor on the strip being wrong.

Not club fault on this occassion but Errea.

Actually it is the clubs fault too if this is the case. Order confirmation is required when placing an order. This should have been checked by the buying party. Was the requirement clear? Did Errea screw it up even after the order confirmation was accepted? Many questions but unfortunately the club would also have to accept responsibility in this situation also

That may well be, BP, but surely the club would have to sign off on the proof or first/off?
