We all know there’s 3 of 4 more seniors to come in … but they won’t be stick ons for the team sheet if an 18 year old is out working and performing you in training. I’m absolutely pumped for the season ahead. And while still sober, will say we will be top 3 come the end of the season. 4th can be a late surge or slide. 3rd. I think going forward we still have a bit of quality to add and aren`t quite there which is exciting given just scoring four. A Kearney type on the left hand side would make a huge difference, although Otoo the one time he did get in behind we scored from, hopefully see more of that from him. Cooper putting up some excellent numbers already, midfield and defence strolled it. Interesting comments about Young, if it`s a work rate thing then it`s good to see there`s a no tolerance policy and being bombed from the squad when we`re winning will be pretty hard to take, hopefully he reacts well. Author: wee eck Date: Sun 20th Jul 2025. 10:10 My immediate reaction to Kane`s goal was `Goal of the season` which isn`t much of an accolade two games in but I think it could still be in contention next May - started by a superb pass by Kane to Otoo who cut it back for Kane to smash home from the edge of the box aided en route by two dummy runs at the near post! All the `new boys` contributed something and some of the `old boys` upped their games. Kearney`s going to threaten KRH`s position as the latter seems to have lost his instinct to attack and invariably takes the easy option of passing back or sideways. I noticed there were three keepers involved in the warm-up and the third one looked nearer to Meggets` age than Mehmet`s. Reply |

Author: bannerpar Date: Sun 20th Jul 2025. 14:52 One encouraging thing yesterday is that Jeremiah and JT are starting to give us an aerial threat at corners, something we`ve been missing in recent times. I think back fondly to the RAF days of Ivo Den Bieman, Andy Smith and Andy Tod when a corner was welcomed as another goal scoring opportunity. Reply |

Great pick out by Otoo, last season we had too many players who had heads down the minute the ball was at their feet and inevitably we played a poor ball into the box. Lots of interplay, practising little moves in and around the box, crossing at pace. Praise the lord we`ll be creating more chances this season! Reply |
