Will probably come down to what the SFA stipulations were. If they`re told to raise funds quickly to deal with HMRC, then selling players like Shaw might be one of the few levers they can actually pull. If someone comes in with £100k for example, and that knocks a big chunk off the tax bill, I don’t think they’ll have much choice but to accept it. Depends how bad the situation really is behind the scenes though. If it`s severe, you’d imagine they`ll be open to selling any assets of value. I wonder if they are up to date yet? They`re only heading one way if they fail to pay HMRC on time. That reminded me of a post on Twitter from the Viz in their “letters” page “HMRC are very pleased with me. They’ve told me my accounts are outstanding. We would get a proven goalscorer at this level and help them out in the process by loaning some younger players to help them for a season. Reply

Author: neils Date: Sat 26th Jul 2025. 14:13 Assuming we bulk up the squad a bit (and plenty time in window) can see a few guys going on loan that are around the first team already, the likes of the Sutherland`s etc. they just need games. Probably better loaning to more local part time teams? That way they can train full time with us at the same time. We`ve quite a few guys who are on the cusp of 1st team-good stuff. Reply
