He`s a great player but his first touch is shocking he keeps letting the ball run away from him then dives in he does it most weeks he could probably have been sent off for the first one if var had been there we got what we deserved nothing

He never touched the player for second booking. The player who was down was fine seen it was Mullen and started rolling around. From what I seen I think ref was leaving it at free kick but Mullen said something. That’s how it seemed to me so may have been for dissent. If not then it’s a poor decision as it wasn’t a foul never mind a booking. First one for me was a 50/50.

The 2nd booking was not even a foul, he got the yellow for complaining. The referee was abysmal.

2nd Challenge was never a booking. Was it for descent? It could have been but the ref never even reached for his pocket until he was surrounded by Ayr players.

He`s got a bad habit of going to ground when he loses control of the ball. Then it`s all flailing legs! Stay on your feet!

Hes already on a yellow, so he should just walk away, let his teammates down tonight.

Looked amazing when he came in last season and made a massive impact in helping us stay up. His form dipped towards the end of last season and hasn’t picked up since.

Defensively looks dodgy but going forward he helps create space by carrying the ball and committing players, it’s the best part of his game just now unfortunately.

The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity!

Did the player have to go to the sideline after treatment?

If no, the booking was probably for the foul itself.

I think if it was for dissent after the foul - meaning the foul wasn`t a bookable offence - then I think he`d have to go to the sideline.

Having seen it back, it doesn`t look like a foul at all. Maybe a bit but there were a load of legs involved.

The ref was not in a position to see any foul far less a sending off. He got caught up in the moment thanks to the play acting of Ayr players with the full knowledge that he had already been booked. Absolutely no honesty, respect for fellow professionals, or integrity left in football.

Isn`t it about time the reason for controversial decisions was announced to the crowd? Here we are more than 12 hours after the game and we don`t know for sure what the second booking was for.

Ill bet anyone a round pound it was dissent.
He mouthed off at the scene. Probably pissed off cos it wasnt a foul.
The ref stayed at the scene as he walked away. The Ayr players were trying to get him sent off but he gave the ref the excuse when he turned his head and said something else. The ref reacted by actually lunging fwd immediately after the final comment.
The dissent gave the excuse for being duped.
