Think you are being harsh with a striker for us getting little or no service ,the guy puts in a shift , maybe look to the midfield or defence for the poor service

Anyone can put in a shift. I don’t know what service he is actually looking for either.
Watch Kane closely next time he plays.

He gets close to his striking partner and talks to him while making the proper runs into space.

He doesn’t wait for things to happen.
He makes them happen.

Andy Tod is a seriously important player for us. Even when he doesn`t have the best game he`s still doing something.

Kane showed us what an out and out striker is yesterday. Sadly, we can`t rely on Kane alone and can join the hundreds of clubs seeking a proven striker who is available and cheap 😂

Apologies for my mistake it was indeed Cooper and not Kearney that Andy Tod sent away down the wing to cross for Kane to score.

I’ve been saying this for weeks if not months.

Kane is our best striker but can’t last games.
Rudden is out for a few weeks now I’d imagine if not longer.
Thomas is a young lad who isn’t getting a game.

Morrison is a winger.
Tod hasn’t produced for months, also he isn’t a striker.

We really need to be looking at another striker in during this loan window or we are going to be in big trouble.

We wont see Rudden this side of Easter - and with Kane not able to play 90 minutes or two consecutive games we badly need another striker on loan. We simply do not score enough goals .

Fitba is a squad game.

We can`t just keep signing players every time we get an injury or someone goes off form.

Just as well some of you aren`t in charge of recruitment. We`d have a squad of aboot 150

No we can’t but my one and only gripe about NL is his choice of signings as Striker (Stewart excepted) is not great! Rudden is poor, which is why he lasts a maximum of 2 years at a club but is invariably loaned out during that! And Thomas looks like this years Yeboah! The rest of his signings for Mid/Defence look good choices

Jakubiak, Joel Nouble, Nicky Clark, Tomi Adeloye, Jai Quitongo a few names that are free agents.....

Nouble was a handful at Arbroath and Livi, 6ft 4. Could do a lot worse and would give the front line a focal point

“The gaffer knows who I am and what I do. He knows I’ll score goals. He knows if he needs me off the bench, I can help him off the bench. If he doesn’t need me to start, he knows I’ll be reliable. At the end of the day, I’m fit. Right now, I’m available. It gives him a decision.”

Chris staking his claim for the strikers role. What a boost it would be if he could maintain his fitness.

he said the same sort of thing a couple of months ago then missed the next couple of games with injury, will it be different this time, we will see.

the striker situation should have been sorted in the summer, dont mind a "hybrid" type that Lennon called them after Saturday but there are far too many of them in the squad.

Kane had 2 decent crosses while rudden has had Matty Todd hitting the first man.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

If Chris Kane has only legs for 45 ( as we all suspect) ... I would get him on for the 1st 45 - not the 2nd (when we seem to start badly and pull it round in the 2nd half). A goal or two 1st half will give the team the confidence to come out the traps in the 2nd 45

Against Partick and how physical their defence is, I would definitely put him on first. They may even pick up a booking or two this time around. I would still love to get one over on them after their nonsense in the last game at East End.

I remember a few games back NL was talking about the squad and mentioned that he sees McLeod and Bray as "development players", so might not see them in the squad unless really needed this season

It could be that NL was saying that to push the board into getting us a couple experienced players in though, who knows...

Fully agree regarding Kane.

If he can only manage half a game, it needs to be from the start.

He our only penalty box striker who sniffs out any half chances.

Or you could argue he could be more effective coming on against fatigued defenders ?

It`s frustrating that none of us really knows what Kane`s `issue` is and how it should be managed. Reading his interviews he seems to think he could be playing more than he is but NL obviously sees it differently.
