Jealous Furniture, Tue 10 Feb 08:24

I remember a few games back NL was talking about the squad and mentioned that he sees McLeod and Bray as "development players", so might not see them in the squad unless really needed this season

It could be that NL was saying that to push the board into getting us a couple experienced players in though, who knows...

NL has said a couple of times that McLeod “is more for the future”. I think he definitely has something though, and look forward to seeing what he does long term.

By that time Raymie we could be out of the game. At least if he starts and we manage a goal or 2 we have something to hold onto.

But if we don`t score first half and Chris is puggled, we might be even more up against it than at kick off. I think better keep the powder dry/options open and bring him on when a) our men have got going and b) supersub CK might do what other supersubs do - change the game.

It`s frustrating that none of us really knows what Kane`s `issue` is and how it should be managed. Reading his interviews he seems to think he could be playing more than he is but NL obviously sees it differently.

He would love to play more. Just not able to train which does not mesh with NL`s work ethic. There has been considerable friction around this. Add to this the quite extraordinary wage he is on and you can see the problems that might arise.

Also the reason there hasn`t been a marquee signing up front.

Kane is the best striker we have and one of the best in the league. It`s a real shame as he`s only 31 but he`s rarely fit and I imagine this will end his time with us.

I`d like to understand more about what his injury is. It`s unusual that when he does play there is very little sign of it, but afterwards he can be out for weeks. I wonder if there is something he`s missing recovery wise.

This is definitely the way of modern football. Carlos Calderan was the master of it at West Brom, trying to win a game within a 10 minute window. So much so that Valencia alluded to it when they appointed him in their press conference.

Rudden McLeod Tod are not a main striker but better when have someone like Kane in there. When kane doesn’t play the team has too many similar players to top. Can see when we are attacking in and around the box plenty times we have nobody in the box we have players wanting to create the chance or make the pass rather than having that goal scoring instinct to be in there. We’ve lacked a goal scorer for a while Kane aside.

As a Valencia fan it hasn`t really worked out this season!

Has it not StevenPar?? I honestly don’t take much notice outside of Scotland and WBA, but if this is the case then I’m really surprised at that. I honestly thought he would be a great appointment for them and Spanish football would be a good fit for him.

A point off the relegation zone, hopefully he can turn it around!

Lennon, meanwhile, is still keen to add another goalkeeper to provide competition for Billy Terrell, who signed a new deal with the club last week, and Mehmet.

Mason Munn was recalled by parent club, Rangers, from his loan earlier this month, and subsequently joined League Two side, Forfar Athletic.

The Pars can bring in players on loan from Scottish Premiership clubs until the end of the month, but Lennon doesn`t envisage him looking to do so for other areas of the team, despite losing forward, Zak Rudden, to a dislocated shoulder.

"I`m not really considering that," he said.

"Nobody`s come back to me on that. I wouldn`t have thought so.

“The squad`s quite big at the minute, even though now we`ve had a few injuries, so, I don`t know is the answer. I`ve not really given it much thought.

"It`s hard to know, at this stage of the season, who`d be available and ready to come in and play."

That concerns me as I cannot see how we are going to score goals , here we are virtually same as last season relying on Kane to get them. Lets hope he manages more than 60 mins out of every three matches - high risk approach in my opinion.

Jakubiak, Joel Nouble, Nicky Clark, Tomi Adeloye, Jai Quitongo a few names that are free agents.....

Nouble was a handful at Arbroath and Livi, 6ft 4. Could do a lot worse and would give the front line a focal point

Nouble has signed for Livi until the end of the season. Would have done a job here whilst Rudden is out

I wouldn`t object to Nicky Clark returning until the end of the season. I believe he was a better striker than many people gave him credit for.

He`s signed for QOTS last week.
