Author: sjapar Date: Fri 13th Feb 2026. 21:53 Looking at St Johnstone tonight and the players they have managed to bring in , It’s night and day compaired to what we have brought in quality wise . So does it beg the Q are we lacking ambition ? For me it’s starting to feel like the Germans are back at the helm. Who have we signed in recent times that is what you’d say is a statement signing? Like maybe a Paton and Fowler . Not on about anyone crazy. Sja Reply |

We have had our fingers burned before,with players we could not really afford,so I am with the club on their strategy. Reply |

But there have been a few horrific performances creeping into our game lately. Any time we have a chance to cement a top 4 place we bottle it, we badly need experience and I don`t think we had a good January transfer window. Next season we should know what ambitions the owners have, as we will have a few high earners off the books and Lennon will have the chance to form a squad capable of promotion. Reply |

Date: Fri 13th Feb 2026. 23:24 As I’ve mentioned in other posts, given the position we are in regarding the playoffs I’m shocked we haven’t address the attacking areas of the team and brought in at least another striker. We are very light up top and I get the feeling it may be a decision we regret come end of the season. We simply don’t score enough goals. Even another winger so we can play with wingers, I think only Morrison is the only natural winger we have. Reply |

It will take a while to clear the decks. This is very much a marathon and not a sprint. Watching Kearney, Fraser, Abduli has been a joy. Seeing Matty Todd and Nguyena resurrect their careers under Lennon is something a bit special too. I am here for the journey and it will take time. To compare now to the turgid $hite we played under Mcpake, Tisder and the German overlords is just nonsense. Lennon has said on many occasions that this will take a while but I am enjoying it. | 11. Author: Never10yairds Date: Fri 13th Feb 2026. 23:32 I was disappointed we didn’t go in for Fowler. He’s still young enough to fit the model but also effective enough now to make a difference. The type of player we should be after. As it stands with the window closed and Rudden likely out for the season we will need to try and utilise the limited options of the loan window and free agents. On free agents I’d look at Moses Ebiye if he’s still in Scotland and has kept himself fit. Maybe Chris Martin? I hear he’s still training with Leicester. Either would give us something extra for the rest of the season. Reply |

The fact that the St Johnstone keeper got man of the match said something. Thought they were fortunate to go home with all the points. Don`t think St Johnstone are hugely better than us but are more consistent. We are definitely building though and going in the right direction. Reply |

We still have deadwood from the McPake era lingering about, two of our highest earners can’t even last 90 regularly and the other is out on loan at Stenny. If the OP is actually a Pars fan, go read Bord’s first comments when he walked in, he said straight up he’s not gonna throw millions at the team because that doesn’t guarantee success. And he’s right. Infrastructure and stability matter too. He’s improved the playing surface and we finally have hospitality that doesn’t make you cringe every time someone asks “what’s included?” it’s actually decent now and we needed that. So what is deemed success anyway? To me it’s clearly better than we were. Best cup run in 17 years, we’re not looking like relegation fodder, and we’re playing better football than the Tidser ball. Under the Germans we got astro and portacabins on grants then whined about having no money. This is a project and the goal is promotion but we aren`t ready yet. Get rid of the deadwood bring in reliable improvements and we go again. But let`s be sensible here we are miles better than the Germans era. This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it. | 17. Author: BigTpar1986 Date: Sat 14th Feb 2026. 07:02 I don’t see it as lack of ambition personally. More our rise/progression being unfortunately timed. Had we had the new owners/managers/squad we have now for the start of last season, I think we would have had more chance of luring in your Fowlers or loan deals for Paton as it was an open league. This year we had the rare occasion of two prem teams dropping down with initial staring budgets greater than ours. County blurted loads of money on the experienced guys at the start of the season, it went sideways for them. St johnstone were a bit more shrewd early doors (albeit with a better squad from the start) and this gave them an edge not only through the first half of the Season but in the January market with funding and league position as leverage. I would have loved us to bring in stronger experience in January but happy to see Miller’s signing as a massive positive for the play off push. We have years of poor recruitment to rectify come the end of the season, and I’m personally looking forward to watching the cup run and play off push play out with what has been built so far. Reply |

Genuine question. Is this information freely available in the public domain, or are these said posters friends or relatives of these players? If it’s the latter, I`d imagine the players concerned would be less than chuffed to have this information splashed on this forum. Or perhaps it`s pure guesswork? 🤔  Not your average Sunday League player. Reply |

I think the supporters lack of intelligence is more of a problem. It’s embarrassing how so utterly clueless folk can be. We are a work in progress and buying overnight success can backfire spectacularly. It’s happened to clubs in Scotland many times before. Us included. Reply |
